Development and Support (DevOps) of Project “New Planning Landscape”, Integration & Interfaces Squad
- Understand and challenge the functional requirements and implement them in SAP environments as well as cloud-based environments.
- Working in an agile way within a virtual global team
Responsibilities and Key Outcomes
- Understand the current implementation of SCM developments within SAP APO and SAP ERP.
- Shape BASF’s future planning landscape by moving existing planning processes into cloud-based planning tools by building sustainable interfaces.
- Develop, maintain & monitor interfaces for different on-premises and cloud integration scenarios
- Evaluate new requirements in close collaboration with other teams (e.g. SAP Basis, Cyber Security, …)
- Bring in new ideas / solutions as well as focusing on existing code’s quality (refactoring, restructuring & optimizing).
- Living end-to-end-responsibility, being able to adopt to new requirements and learning new technologies within a virtual global agile team (Scrum).
Job Requirements
Education and work experience
- A university degree in the area of computer science or similar.
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of IT working experience.
Technical & Professional Knowledge (mandatory)
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Good knowledge & understanding of cloud-based solutions and integration scenarios connecting via Middleware (e.g. Kafka, SAP CPI, SAP PI/PO..)
- Good understanding of security implications when setting up cloud-solutions
- Openness to new trends and innovative solutions.
- Proficient in at least one programming language: SAP ABAP (OO), Python, R, C# and etc.
Technical & Professional Knowledge (additional plus/nice to have skills)
- Supply Chain Planning process knowledge.
- Automated Testing
- Version Management (Git)
- Basic Understanding of Data Modeling / Data Science & Databases
- Experience with using Webservices in SAP environments (Proxy, Webservice, OData, …) & SAP CPI
- Knowledge related to Web Services (REST, SOAP), Streaming technologies (Kafka) and/or API development.
