Objectives of the Position:
- To plan and direct sales and marketing activities in assigned area (such as: Demo plot, Temu Lapang (Field Day), One Day Promo) as well as other activities e.g. Expo, ODOS (One Day One Session), Big Farmer Meeting, etc.
- Pursue sales leads and achieve the personal sales objectives with the product range of the assigned product(s) in the assigned area.
- To implement commercial program to support business growth in the assigned area e.g. Gebyar-Point, Quarterly program for Medium and small retailers, through CPM (Customer Performance Management) system.
Main Areas of Responsibilities and Key Activities:
Demand Activities:
- Ensure to achieve quantify and quality Business Consultant activities’ target (proved with business score card: Demo plot, TL and ODP).
- To plan and host all the Big sales activities such as EXPO, ODOS (One Day One Session), Big Farmer Meeting, etc.
- Establish and maintain account relationships and meet personal sales targets for each assigned account by visiting existing key customers (Farmers) to understand and identify their needs as well as promote new product to create a long-term customer relationship.
- To find new opportunity to support business development ((e.g. Agriculture Officer (PPL), Trader (Pengepul), Rice Mill, Key Grower, BASF Petani Sejahtera (BASF Farmers’ ambassador)).
- Conduct monthly meeting with the team to evaluate and plan monthly performance: DCA activities, commercial program update; competitor activities; crop stage; climate issues, etc. and then follow-up by reporting to supervisor.
Channel Activities (Medium and Small Retailer/R2):
- Responsible to identify market potential to support individual sales target by providing current and potential retailer’s mapping
- To ensure retailer’s mapping align with distribution channel.
- To provide information about BASF’s commercial program to the customer such as Gebyar Point, Quarterly program, etc.
- To provide precise control on sales contract terms and agreement with customer before down the signature.
- Ensure that the customers honor the sales contract terms.
- To provide the channels’ performance report by weekly/monthly monitoring to ensure the channels achieve the target.
- To gather information from channel regarding Key farmer in the assigned area to help identifying key farmer market.
- Maintain long term relationship with the current and potential customer(medium and small retailer).
- To increase share of wallet in the retailer.
Financial Responsibilities:
- To ensure timely payment of all the BC’s activities.
- To provide and record financial report according to all the sales big activities.
- To monitor the key retailer financial status in a good condition.
- Ensure the timely payment of receivables to meet established sales targets and revenue goals.
People Management:
- Support field force (BC) development in the team by improving products knowledge, agronomy knowledge, pest and disease knowledge through certification training program.
- Implement BC reward system to keep the employee’s motivation high. (Including review on team performance).
- To identify about manpower’s needs including planning and participating in BC hiring’s process based on business planning.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or related Major.
- Min. 1-3 Years of experience in related area.
- Good knowledge in Agronomy Business environment including plants’ pest and diseases.
- Good Communication and interpersonal skills. (Good command in English would be an advantage).
- Able to operate Computer and system (Main: Excel).
- Strong networking skills.
