Responsibilities and Key Outcomes :

Our team supports the implementation, maintenance, and operation of digital solutions for BASF.
-
This includes the planning and support of complex Data & IT landscapes incl. infrastructure for the client-/server and Web- applications, packaging and rollout of applications, and integration of cloud solutions.

We coordinate the relevant activities with the respective providers as well as with BASF’s internal IT units (e.g., security, data integration, infrastructure/cloud enablement, system integration).

Furthermore, we develop interfaces for a seamless integration of the different systems into the whole IT landscape.

We support the solutions using BASF's IT Service Management processes such as incident & change management and accompany our customers during the entire solution lifecycle.

You are responsible for continuous service delivery respective IT landscape: incident management, change management, updates, upgrades, modernization, migration, security checks, lifecycle management.

Hereby you interact with different product teams.

Your main responsibility will be the integration and lifecycle support of 3rd party Software (Commercial of the shelf SW) into the BASFs infrastructure environment.

Therefore, a wide infrastructure and integration knowledge is essential.
Job Requirements
Education and work experience :
- Master / bachelor’s degree in information technologies, comparable qualification, or many years of experience in the relevant work area
- Minimum of 5 years related working experience
TECHNICAL EXPERTISE :
- Experience in heterogeneous enterprise IT environments (Windows, Linux, Networks)
- Technical security & IAM understanding according to corporate standards
- Third-party software integration (design, infrastructure, security, connectivity)
- Lifecycle management, updates, end of life (EoL)
- At least 4 years of service experience with Microsoft SQL servers (DML & DDL)
- Basic knowledge of PostgreSQL databases
- At least 4 years of service experience with Oracle databases (DML & DDL) (including the latest versions)
- Basic knowledge of webserver installation & configuration (Tomcat, Apache, IIS)
- At least 4 years of service experience of Windows, Linux and/or Unix based operating systems (knowledge equivalent to level LPIC-1 for Linux or Windows Server Administration Fundamentals)
- At least 4 years of service experience for software installations
- At least 2 years of service experience for webservices (JSON, SOAP, REST API including OpenAPI V3.0 development) – No API Development, only integration!!!
- At least 2 years of service experience with complex system landscapes (different servers, networks, security zones, interfaces)
- Basic knowledge with common cloud concepts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Docker, Kubernetes) (level of Microsoft Azure Fundamentals)
- At least 2 years of service experience of docker technologies: Application container, Orchestration, Container-anatomy, Request-routing with Traefik, Continuous Integration und DevOps, Output and logging
- At least 2 years of service experience in certificate handling (ACME)
- Basic knowledge of ITIL processes and CMDB (ServiceNow)
- Experience with Change-, Release‑ und Incident‑Management
- Technical understanding of security and IAM according to corporate standards
