IT Asset Management
-
Handle Incidents, Service Requests, and Changes related to IT Asset and Configuration Management
-
Perform data correction, maintenance, and cleanup activities in the ServiceNow CMDB
-
Support CI data quality management, including validation, health checks, mass updates, and structural corrections
-
Create and maintain CI and asset reports for internal stakeholders and operational teams
-
Support asset lifecycle processes by collaborating with CI Owners, CI Coordinators, and Asset Owners
-
Execute asset detection activities, including:
-
Identification of devices connected to the network that are not documented in the CMDB
-
Analysis and clarification of assets with unknown or unclear ownership
-
Support continuous improvement and standardization of IT Asset and Configuration Management processes
IT Operations Platforms – Monitoring, Automation & Infrastructure Data
-
Take operational responsibility for assigned platforms, including availability, data quality, and reliability, such as:
-
Monitoring & Event Management (e.g. Zabbix, Datadog, Servicenow and Operations Bridge Manager)
-
Infrastructure & Network Documentation / Asset Detection (e.g. Infraray, FNT Command)
-
Workload Automation (e.g. Stonebranch Universal Automation Center)
-
Coordinate and contribute to application lifecycle activities, including changes, releases, and platform improvements
-
Enable event‑to‑incident processing and integrations with ServiceNow Event Management
-
Linking monitoring and workload events to Configuration Items (CIs) and business services
-
Supporting alert tuning in collaboration with monitoring and platform teams
-
Analyze alerts, events, and job execution issues to support continuous improvement
-
Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and reports
-
Create user documentation and support training and knowledge‑sharing activities
-
Support projects, consult business partners, and coordinate with external providers
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
-
Collaborate with global IT operations, infrastructure, and service management teams
-
Operate in a global organization and support cross‑hub collaboration and knowledge sharing
Required Qualifications
Education
-
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Informatics, or comparable qualification
-
Or equivalent professional experience
Experience & skills
-
Experience in IT operations, service management, monitoring, automation, or infrastructure platforms
-
Basic understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Request, Change, Event Management)
-
Experience with ServiceNow (CMDB / ITSM; Event Management is a plus)
-
Understanding of CMDB structures, CI relationships, and data quality principles
-
Good understanding of network fundamentals, including:
-
IP addressing and subnetting (IPv4)
-
MAC addressing and device identification
-
Switch and port connectivity
-
VLAN‑based network segmentation
-
L2/L3 concepts and the interpretation of SNMP‑based monitoring data
-
Basic understanding of security and authentication mechanisms
-
Working knowledge of databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL) in an operational context
-
Experience with scripting and integration (e.g. Perl, REST APIs, SQL, JavaScript)
-
Practical knowledge of:
-
SQL (queries, reporting)
-
APIs / interfaces
-
Automation or scripting concepts
-
Structured, analytical working style and good English communication skills
