Executive - Sales and Technical Service, Functional Coatings - Haptic, Coatings
OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION
- To plan and support business development according to the agreed strategies, policies and practices; to provide inputs and participate in technical development of products and services; to support the implementation of sales strategies and policies in the assigned areas.
MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACTIVITIES
Technical support for business development
- Conduct project study, evaluate, test and implement developed products;
- Collect and analyze customers’ needs on product performance and technical services to verify product design suitability to application;
- Provide technical training, seminars and trouble-shooting;
- Support ASEAN technical team on product and business development.
Product application and development
- Provide technical guidance and assistance to customers on product applications to enhance pre- and post-sales services;
- Identify future customer needs to meet their satisfaction with products and services;
- Provide technical laboratory services and product training to sales, marketing personnel to enhance business opportunities via product applications, meet customer expectations and solve technical problems.
- Provide inputs and recommendations for developing / evaluating product applications, defining marketability, modifications and termination of ineffective products.
Support to define customer needs

- Share information related to customer expectations and product performance with the team members;
- Evaluate product and service marketability in terms of technical and manufacturing needs;
- Establish a communication path amongst customers’ operation personnel and internal research personnel to enhance business development.
Product launch
-
- Develop technical processes and procedures on introduction of products;
- Participate as part of product launching team to ensure smooth introduction of the product;
- Participate or lead plant pilot scheme to gain actual production experience of using process conditions to influence product end-use performance and share the experience with the team members;
- Support the team in organizing seminars, workshops to launch products.
R&D support

- Carry out lab testing for new / alternative raw materials to support the enhancement of product performance or cost optimization;
- Input recommendations to new product development / evaluation to achieve better product performance;
- Exchange information of R&D results among the local team members and ASEAN team.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
- At least 3-year technical experience in automotive coatings or other coating industries.
- Good knowledge in coatings’ materials and processing.
- Able to identify chances and carry out plans for product development, formula modification towards quality improvement.
- Able to adapt to different working principles of different customers.
- Able to solve technical issues in failure products or incidents efficiently.
- Good communication skills.
- Able to communicate English in both verbal and written.
