Job Description:
Objectives of the Position
• Provide Technical Advisory at respective region through the area of part design, processing, tooling and material in order to achieve manufacturing excellent part performance quality at customers in our Engineering Plastics business.
• To optimize product/material processing under trouble shooting at customer location to target excellent part quality.
• According to the agreed strategies, policies and practices, provides input and participates in business development and planning, product / processing development and modification, customer intimacy to support the implementation of sales strategies and policies in China at defined sales goal.
• Support Application Development and Product Launch initiatives in South China for Engineering Plastics together with commercial team in Project Acquisition and Commercialization for sales Growth.

How You Will Do It
Market Development
• Supports in running projects efficiently and gets the active projects be commercialized.
• Advocates in country and regional technical meetings.
• Promotes and maintains Market Development through frequent updates on market development activities, and application technologies.
• Tracks the competitive technology in the market. Initiates sample/performance and ensures broad technical knowledge of competition, including competitive literature.
• Working closely with key strategy accounts and engaging with Customers and Strategic Key Accounts identifying material needs leading to material development through ‘PHASEGATE’ or ‘TOPIC’ closely with Country TD, Regional TD, KAM, Product Developer (R&D).
• Support material validation in the development material projects through processing and part testing to identify the properties gap for improvement toward product success.
• Joint effort in product launch with Regional Tech Dev Team toward success.
Segment strategy
• Collaborates with marketing team to build the road map of each segment of consumer electronics, new energy and automotive, also implementing the road map to contribute the business development
• Supports in the development of the regional / global product/ segment strategy, in alignment with Sales and Product Management.
Project management
• Supports technical projects/activities and ensures good progress of these projects, by assigning appropriate expertise and using effective project management approach.
Innovations
• Facilitates innovation activities and participates at innovation events (such as Customer TechDays)
• Works closely with the sales teams to promote new products and innovative solutions to customers.
• Organizes and conducts technical presentations and seminars
Market Development

What We Look For
• Bachelor or Master's Degree in Polymer, Chemistry, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Material Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field.
• 5-8 years of working experience preferably either in Engineering Plastics especially in the areas of sales and or market or application development or in other relevant industries.
• Strong ability to identify opportunities or problem, and formulate and implement strategy or actions accordingly.
• Strong in establishing & fostering customer relationships.
• Strong sales & marketing background & business experience.
• Good conflict management and good networker.
• Proven track record of developing and executing successful commercial strategies and plans throughout an organization.
• Good knowledge of Engineering Plastic. Specific expertise for marketing development and application in automotive industry is a plus.
