= Objective =

- To create local/regional plan/schedule in S&OP process like demand planning, raw material, production and product distribution planning; keep inventory optimally to meet customer demand and company targets.
- To manage the BU supply chain planning process for assigned product cluster or value chain to meet business targets.
- To develop the supply chain planning function with latest planning knowledge, mindsets, and digital applications for continuous improvement and build talent for planning functional excellence.


= Key Responsibilities =

Supply Chain Planning and Coordination
- Coordinate the demand planning and supply planning process, by ensuring the planning system/tool, planning roles, S&OP calendar / agenda / minutes are followed and implemented as designed.
- Drive operational alignment among Supply Chain, Production, Sales, Marketing teams and other Functions to reach consensus plans during S&OP discussion.
- Depending on planning level and value chain scope, this role may:
1. Support Sales and Marketing in analyzing demand / distribution requirement, identify main changes, risks, and gap vs OP targets to resolve conflicts.
2. Perform monthly/weekly/daily supply planning to propose rolling Rough Cut / Detail Plans for production and raw material supply decision making.
3. Monitor subsequent plan execution for adherence, escalate supply issues with revision proposal to stakeholders, and conduct planning KPI review.
- Ensure the planning master data are well maintained as per functional guidelines; ensure planning parameters are accurate through validation and adjustment.

Inventory management
- Set, implement and monitor the inventory targets (e.g. DIV/OIV) for assigned value chain, SBU or product clusters, giving timely and accurate inventory forecast to support S&OP decision making.
- Provide expertise in inventory optimization like ABC/xyz analysis, safety stock calculation knowhow, DIV impact simulation to propose inventory / production /raw material strategy adjustment.
- Proactively monitor, analyze and eliminate dysfunctional inventory.
- Develop and monitor inventory control procedures to maintain optimum stock and fulfill sales demand while ensuring cost effectiveness.

Supply chain cost optimization
- Identify cost drivers within supply chain planning processes and supply network, initiate cost saving measures.
- Develop or optimize the supply network for operational excellence through evaluating costs, profitability and working capital requirements in raw materials, supply chain allocated costs, storage/shipping/handling charges, sales administration expenses, etc. to recommend to the supervisor, programs to improve the economic performance of individual supply chain activities and enhance the financial returns

= Job Requirements =

Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, Applied Mathematics, Operation Research or a related field; Master's degree or industry certifications (e.g., CSCP, PMP) is advantageous. Professional training in Supply Chain Planning system or tool are highly welcomed.
- Experience: 2-3 years of related working experience are suitable for a Junior Planner role. 5-10 years of progressive experience in supply chain planning are suitable for a leadership planner role.

Knowledge/Skills
- Process Excellence: Proven track record of leading process improvement initiatives, implementing best practices, and optimizing financial processes for global organizations.
- Leadership: Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, collaborate, and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven and detail-oriented approach to decision-making, e.g. to collect, organize, visualize, and assimilate data to draw conclusion.
- Change Agent: Demonstrated experience in driving change management efforts and managing stakeholders across various organizational levels.
- Technology Proficiency: Knowledge and experience with digital data management tools like Power BI, dashboards, data management tools, forecasts tools etc. Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), logistics platforms, and supply chain analytics. Ability to leverage technology for process enhancements.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, active listening skills, solid presentation skills and the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Global Mindset: Understanding of global supply chain operations, international trade regulations, and cultural nuances.
