Deputy Manager, Business Development

We are looking for a dynamic and commercially driven Deputy Manager – Business Development to lead market expansion, customer engagement, and product development initiatives in Bangladesh’s vegetable seeds business.
This role is ideal for professionals passionate about agriculture, sales strategy, dealer development, and building long-term partnerships across the agri-value chain.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Growth
- Drive annual sales targets and market share growth
- Develop and execute regional business plans aligned with company goals
- Build strong relationships with distributors, dealers, retailers, and growers
- Expand retail/dealer networks and increase channel penetration
- Execute promotional campaigns and grow customer loyalty
Product & Market Development
- Conduct field trials and demonstrations for focused crops
- Support successful launch and commercialization of new varieties
- Identify market opportunities and customer needs
- Collaborate with teams on crop development and promotional activities
- Train growers on advanced cultivation practices and product usage
Financial & Operational Management
- Manage receivables and ensure smooth credit management
- Monitor key financial and sales metrics
- Support regulatory liaison activities including product registration and seed licensing
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture
- 6–8 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience working with an MNC is preferred
- Strong skills in sales, business development, and marketing
- Fluent in English and local language
- Strong commercial mindset, customer focus, collaboration, and relationship-building skills
