Deputy Manager - Procurement (General Buyer) 1

Objectives of the Position:   

• Management of delegated spend for EC India
• Dealing with suppliers, negotiating and executing the procurement processes in India      

 Main Areas of Responsibilities and Key Activities:

• Provide local market intelligence for category strategy development
• Fulfill primary role as key contact for EC related procurement activities in India.
• Accountable and responsible for local managed spend
• Identify cost saving potentials & execute with speed to meet business needs
• Execute local supplier management, emergency buying and provide field support for global and regional categories
• Act as OCMM (Operational Contract Manufacture Management) to coordinate the local tolling activities and accountable for relevant commercial aspects.

Minimum Education and Qualification required for the Position:

• Bachelor’s degree, chemical background preferred. MBA is a plus.
• Min. 10 years working experience with procurement, supply chain related areas.
• Flexibility for business trips to suppliers and working places.
• Good English skills in both writing and speaking.
• Good communication skills with external parties like suppliers and internal parties with different culture background.
• Open minded and passionate on taking challenging tasks.
