Objectives of the Position:
- This role is a key position, which is responsible for the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives across Production and WWTP operations. It will play an important role in fostering a culture of sustainable changes throughout the creation and embedding of BASF LEAN methodology, current guidance / standards (RCMS, EHSQ, RCFA, HALAL, Cost Deployment, etc.) and the supporting systems.
Main Tasks:
- To identify and deliver service improvement activities across Production & WWTP operations through implementing process improvement methodologies and the application of innovative thinking.
- To work with key contributors. to build a continuous improvement environment to support Site objectives.
- To lead and facilitate LEAN / process improvement-based workshops to drive ideas and solutions.
- To support the Production & WWTP teams to achieve greater efficiencies through the identification and elimination of losses and non-value-added activities and identification of better ways of working.
- To identify and analyze trends and process variations as part of establishing a continuous improvement monitoring system in Production & WWTP operations.
- To assist in the development and implementation of a " best-in-class'· continuous improvement strategy with simple application and lowest-imaginable cost deployment.
- To act as a Management of Change (MOC) Owner and Lead in Production & WWTP areas.
- To actively monitor project risks in Production & WWTP to foresee potential problems and proactively identify solutions to address in advance.
- To act as an internal trainer for Production & WWTP personnel.
- To represent Production and WWTP in RCFA and Non Conformance Management (NCM) investigations and coordinate the action items and implementations
- To be able to conduct Safety Reviews, Hazop and STATURE access plus implementation
- To conduct post project/MOC implementation reviews to ensure successful delivery has been achieved and to ensure that improvements can be made for future projects.
- Together with Responsible Code (RC) Champions, to lead the daily-basis practices of RC Code 0, 3. 5, 6, and I 0 and regulatory compliances in Production & WWTP areas.
- Fire Team Member: Responsible as member of Emergency Response Team - Fire Team whose responsibility is stated in GS/L/7001 -9 Role Responsibility during emergency.
- Optional : Fire Team Member / First Aid / Emergency Response – where applicable
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, or other relevant engineering field
- 2 years of experiences in process, engineering, and / or manufacturing
- Strong knowledge and aptitude of process and process equipment, LEAN methodology
- Leadership and organizational skills
- Capable of building collaborative working relationships
- Demonstrated high level of problem-solving ability to make decisions independently
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvements
- Able to handle multiple priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High proficiency with MS Office products and having willingness to learn digital tools and data analytic
