Objectives of the Position:

 

  • Following the guidance of the Head of Site & Country Operations and relevant company policies and procedures, plan, direct, coordinate, review and control the production activities for production, EHS, maintenance/repairing, quality, HALAL, shipping, including development of objectives and standards in the unit to ensure the total manufacturing objectives, especially monthly sales orders, are accomplished in time with quality and cost effectiveness.

 

 

Main Areas of Responsibilities and Key Activities:

 

 

  • Material Management:

 

    • Revising production schedules and priorities arising from forecast and changes in demand, or from planned and unplanned downtimes. Attending monthly management team meetings to ensure the cooperation of the relevant functions. Engaging with Supply Chain and Marketing counterparts to ensure the realization of the production plans.

 

 

  • Management Planning:

 

    • Developing, implementing, and supervising production plans and strategies, including budgets for capital expansion of operations, plant expansion, plant and process improvements / optimization, major expenditures for facilities and equipment. Chairing weekly production meeting which address technical issues, problem solving and coordination among related functions. Performing regular and routine plant walk-throughs in all the production plants/lines by self and team, to ensure early diagnosis of abnormalities, effective corrective actions and preventive practices.

 

 

  • Production Planning:

 

    • Conferring with relevant functions to establish production and quality control standards, developing budget and cost control of production, including to obtain data regarding types, quantities, specifications and delivery dates of production orders. Evaluating the manufacturing of products in each plant / production lines, in-process and product quality conformance, cost and delivery. Evaluating new product concepts for manufacturing capabilities, checking budgetary limits for such products and proposing any modification in plants, techniques and team organization as necessary.

 

 

  • Maintenance and Repairing:

 

    • Working and engaging with the Maintenance and Engineering Manager and team to oversee and prioritize the coordination of plant maintenance to ensure manufacturing objectives with minimal machinery/equipment interruptions and optimal planned downtimes.

 

 

 

  • People Management:

 

    • Providing technical guidance and training in the production aspects and ensuring that the best practices are continuously and effectively implemented. Ensuring the competence of each member of the department in accordance with the job title and plans for the necessary training for the job and suited also to individual needs. Carrying out performance appraisal for direct staff and ensuring that this is cascaded accordingly for the supervisory & operator level. Controlling and optimizing production labor overtime, overhead and operating expenses as practicably as possible. Enforcing the guidelines, measures, situational changes and the disciplinary aspects required to keep an effective production teamwork force. To consult and work with Human Resources Dept as appropriate in disciplinary cases. Creating, monitoring and reviewing the KPI of Production Department.

 

 

  • Expansion/Modification Projects:

 

    • Directly managing all phases of plant expansion / modifications, working with relevant parties, including recommendation on facilities / machinery / equipment.

 

 

  • Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and Housekeeping:

 

    • According to corporate, company and statutory EHS requirements, implementing the relevant safety, health and environment protection policies and procedures by seeking consultation from with EHS Department, including enforcing the observation of all company's operations, safety, ecology and housekeeping guidelines to maintain a working environment that supports work safety and production activities.

 

 

  • Deputy Head of Site & Operation, Cimanggis:
    • Nominated as First Deputy Head of Site & Country Operations in case of his absence with the following authorization restriction:

 

      • Changing of organization chart
      • Performance appraisal
      • Performance management with promotion, termination, grievance
      • Recruitment of new position or additional headcount
      • Approve or request capital investment.

 

 

  • Halal assurance, GMP:

 

    • Monitoring, reviewing, and implementing HALAL and GMP assurance at Production Department

 

 

 

 

 

Job Requirements:

 

 

  • Education: Chemistry or Chemical Engineering Degree from Reputable University
  • Working Experience: Minimum 5 years in Chemical process as Production Supervisor
  • Technical & Professional Knowledge: Understand process control system (e.g. PLC, DCS), Production Process Flow, Chemical Risk and Hazards, Computer Literacy and English Proficiency.
