Objectives of the Position:

 

 

  • As a designated Shift Supervisor, takes responsibility of Safety, Production, Quality of System House plant in the shifts.

 

 

Main Tasks:

 

 

  • Coordinate and manage production in shift with consistent Quality and Safety as per the target.
  • Manage the manpower planning in the shift. (Employee and Contractor)
  • Continuous improvement of processes in coordination with the Plant Manager and his Deputy & Quality control to
  • reduce batch cycle times, increase in yields, increase operational ease and ultimately leading to cost effective
  • production.
  • Whenever required, Coordinate with Supply chain and logistics team for adherence of production schedule and
  • share the information to the team of change if any.
  • Guiding a group of Operators in the plant continuously to ensure consistent product quality and safety.
  • Implement Safety, Health and Environment system of the plant concerning man and equipment. 
  • Update knowledge and share the information of any change through proper channel.
  • Ensure that discharge parameters of all the emissions in the plant are within the statutory limits and health and
  • hygiene of the plant personnel is well maintained in the shifts.
  • Ensuring proper implementation of norms as per the departmental operating procedures of ISO 9001, ISO 14001
  • & ISO 50001 Energy Management system.
  • Guide shop floor personnel towards SHE (Safety, Health and Environment) /(RC)Responsible care /cleanliness of
  • the plant (5S) /discipline for improving the BASF’s safe work culture in the shifts. This ensures compliance of
  • BASF’s statutory requirements, which also includes the training of the subordinates regarding the safety aspects
  • and handling of the critical hazardous chemicals.
  • Ensuring compliance to TDS requirements while performing activities like tanker loading, Tanker unloading,
  • labelling and packing as and when required.
  • Adherence to the PPE usage by self and plant personnel, ensure work permit system is properly followed in the
  • shifts.
  • Adherence to target agreement and perform additional responsibilities as per given timeline
  • Prepare and share production reports to higher management.
  • Co-ordinate with site functions like Warehouse, Engineering , WWTP, Admin and Quality team.
  • Compliance to process safety and environmental protection code as per BASF Practice.
  • Ensure the documentation of Responsible care requirement on continual basis.
  • Act as EHS representative in the shifts.
  • As a Part of ERT(Emergency Response Team), rush to the incident spot in case of emergency in the site. 
  • For emergency in System House plant, take a lead and coordinate with incident controller.

 

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor of Science/ Diploma   
  • 4 - 5 years of experience in the relevant industry.
  • Technical & Professional Knowledge: Chemical Process and relevant experience.
