WHAT YOU EXPECT
Lab Analyst Responsibilities
- The Laboratory Analyst has responsibility for Raw Material, Intermediate and finished goods testing and reporting.
- Experience with HPLC, GC, AAS
- Perform environmental testing and reporting
- Analysis and preparation of laboratory samples and reagent in accordance with laboratory test procedures
- Testing of utility water samples
- Operate and assist in the evaluation, calibration and validation of testing instrumentation.
EHS Responsibilities
- Assist with the Implementation of robust EHS programmes and day to day activities to ensure continuous compliance with legal requirements.
- Coordinate all EHS Site training programmes.
- Support with site risk assessment programme ensuring that all hazards are identified and assessed.
- Assist with the collection and reporting of EHS data for completion of annual reporting requirements (regulatory and corporate).
- Support the contractor management process, including the delivery of induction and permit to work training.
- Coordinate the SDS classification changes including update of SDS logs, and support the update of SOP’s and task risk assessments.
WHAT WE EXPECT
- BSc in Chemistry or a Scientific related discipline
- Qualification in Health and Safety would be an advantage
- Experience in Laboratory is essential and EHS experience will be advantageous
- 2+ years’ experience in a chemical/pharma manufacturing environment.
- Ability to interpret EHS/regulatory requirement and lead programmes constantly improve site performance.
- May occasionally work shift hours
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Strong communication skills with ability to work cross functionally at all levels of the Company.
