Objective of the position:

To support the Business unit’s Product Stewardship in APAC and plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with national and international Chemical legislation. To act as the first point of contact for Product Stewardship topics, actively engage with stakeholders, monitor regulatory developments and promote responsible Chemical management throughout the lifecycle of our products. To connect regulatory needs to business applications by enhancing operational efficiency, data management, and automation within the team.

 

Core responsibilities:

  • To be the primary contact for the Business unit’s Product Stewardship topics for internal stakeholders and customers in Thailand, including Thailand Authorities, under the guidance of the regional Product Stewardship Services (PSS) Manager
  • To provide valuable guidance and advice to the Business and their customers regarding complex chemical regulatory issues related to sales products and new developments. To ensure that all necessary legal requirements are met and potential risks are identified and mitigated
  • To work closely with the PSS Manager and the Chemical Regulations Manager for APAC  to transport any kind of regulatory impact assessment to stakeholders through new established pro-active channels
  • To guide the Product Stewardship team including the Management of Change (MoC) process, answering customer requests, product registrations, annual reporting, etc.
  • To drive the development and implementation of digital solutions and strategies to streamline and automate regulatory compliance and product stewardship activities and provide regulatory information to our stakeholders. This includes evaluating existing processes and identifying areas for improvement and optimization and working closely with the Digitalization Manager for more automation
  • To lead and support Product Stewardship projects

 

Qualifications and experience:

    • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Natural Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar
    • Min. relevant work experience of 3 years.  Knowledge of Chemical Regulations and Product Stewardship. Advocacy experience is a plus
    • Good command of English and the ability to effectively communicate regulatory/technical information at all levels
    • Strong affinity towards data analysis with experience in BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Datapine); Knowledge in SQL, Python or R beneficial
    • High level of commitment and teamwork skills, flexibility, customer orientation, as well as independent and structured work approach
    • Strong project management skills required to implementing new strategies, processes and advocate best practices
