*Objectives of the Position          
1.Lead and coordinate the site logistics team members to implement BASF strategy and team target.
-Supports the site logistics team by coordinating daily logistics tasks, sharing work priorities, and ensuring that activities follow BASF’s strategy and team targets. Works closely with team members and related functions to keep operations aligned and consistent.
2.Strive for continuous improvement and efficiency in logistics activities.
-Actively looks for improvement opportunities in logistics processes and identifies ways to make daily operations more efficient. Works with internal teams and logistics partners to streamline workflows and enhance overall performance.


*Main Tasks
1.General Responsibilities
A.Planning and Execution of Targets & KPIs
-Develops annual operational targets and KPIs.
-Tracks performance, identifies gaps, and coordinates actions with related teams.
B.Team Procedures and Documentation Management
-Creates and maintains SOPs, workflows, and operational documents.
-Ensures all documentation reflects audit, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
-Works closely with QM, EHS, and other teams to manage updates.
C.Warehouse Management
-Manages daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and dispatch.
-Coordinates with in-house LSPs to ensure accuracy, safety, and productivity.
-Resolves operational issues through frequent interaction with multiple stakeholders.
D.Inventory Management (DIV, DIQ, Aged Stock)
-Monitors inventory accuracy and investigates discrepancies.
-Works with production, quality, and warehouse teams to address aging or abnormal stock.
E.Export Management (Including Toller Shipments)
-Prepares export documents and ensures all requirements meet customs and regulatory standards.
-Communicates with shipping companies, forwarders, and internal teams to manage shipment schedules.
-Handles last-minute changes or issues with multiple external partners.
F.Internal/External Audit Execution (QM, EHS, AEO, COA)
-Prepares audit data, organizes documents, and coordinates site readiness.
-Communicates with auditors and supports closing actions with functional teams.
G.MES System Implementation & Management
-Supports MES implementation for logistics-related processes.
-Resolves system issues by communicating with IT, quality, and operational teams.
-Ensures accurate data flow between system and on-site operations.

 

2.Customer Service & NCM
A.Delivery Management
-Monitors delivery status to ensure safe, on-time arrival to customers.
-Communicates proactively with transport providers and internal scheduling teams when risks arise.
B.NCM Handling & Corrective Actions
-Collects customer complaints and coordinates root-cause analysis.
-Works with responsible departments to define corrective actions.
-Communicates results clearly to customers to maintain trust and service quality.

 

3.Logistics Service Provider (LSP) Management
A.In-House LSP Supervision
-Oversees daily work of warehouse, transport, and loading/unloading LSPs.
-Ensures LSPs follow safety, quality, and operational standards.
-Maintains continuous communication to resolve daily issues.
B.External Transportation, Shipping & Forwarding Providers
-Manages scheduling, transport arrangements, and issue resolution with external partners.
-Negotiates service expectations and addresses performance gaps.
C.Information Exchange on NCM, TDS, EHS
-Conducts regular meetings with LSPs to review operational issues.
-Shares safety and quality updates to prevent incidents and improve compliance.
D.LSP Inspections & Evaluation Support
-Conducts on-site inspections and documents findings.
-Provides input for annual evaluations based on observed performance.

 

4.Other Responsibilities
A.Risk Assessments
-Identifies operational and safety risks and works with relevant teams to plan mitigation actions.
B.Lean 5S Activities
-Supports workplace organization and continuous improvement initiatives.
-Communicates improvement needs with on-site teams.
C.Work Permit Issuance & Field Checks
-Issues work permits and conducts field inspections to ensure safety compliance.
D.Safety & Environmental Tasks
-Participates in emergency response, traffic control, and EHS support activities.
-Maintains communication with EHS and site teams for immediate actions.
E.Other Tasks per Company Policy or Team Head Instruction
-Performs additional duties as needed to support team objectives and site operations.

 


*Minimum Education:

-Bachelor’s degree (4-year University graduate), preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.


*Minimum Work Experience:

-At least 5 years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, inventory management, export/shipping documentation, or production planning.


*Language Requirements:

-English fluency (both written and spoken) required for communication with global stakeholders, LSPs, and audit-related reporting.


*Additional Preferred Qualifications: 

-Experience with MES or ERP systems
-Knowledge of EHS, QM, AEO compliance preferred
-Experience managing 3PL/forwarding companies
-Ability to conduct RCA and create corrective action plans
