*Objectives of the Position          
-Leading respective product development projects considering target application & customer’s requirement
-New raw material validation / registration, upscaling support for POM base resin & compounding products to reinforce tangible & sustainable growth of POM business.
-Supporting POM product technical requirement such as property evaluation, analysis for C&C, global OEM spec-in and market share growth.

*Main Areas of Responsibilities and Key Activities

POM New product development:
- Propose and develop new and value-added products to reflect global customer needs.
- Capable to handle the complexities related to understanding of ever-changing industry needs, value chain, technical innovations, concepts and product changes trend.
- Responsible to support scale-up, optimizing productivity, improving product consistency/quality, reducing cost of existing products and work cross-functionally with manufacturing plant QC and Technical Product Manager.
Support for product portfolio:
- Maintain existing product portfolio (e.g., administrate/update recipes, create/update data sheets, manage patent activities, technically support product-related complaints, create/adjust specifications, etc.).
- Monitor POM products in market (e.g., initiation & analysis of competitive products, build-up of technical databases concerning competitive products etc.).
Collaboration with other regions and functions:
- Managing POM product development and technical issue support including product portfolio, technical inquiry in cooperation with customers, institutes and other regions.
- Exchange knowledge and experience with other regions and interface internally with sales, marketing, technical experts.

*Education 
-At least master’s degree in Polymer Engineering / Science / Chemistry / Materials Science / Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related majors. Candidates with relevant hands-on experience will also be considered.

*Working Experience
-At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in product development, engineering plastics formulations & compounding knowledge, ideally has direct experience of POM.

-Deep knowledge regarding POM polymerization, extrusion, injection molding process and statistical data analysis of general and specific test methods in terms of mechanical, chemical, thermal, reliability for material and part testing

*Technical & Professional Knowledge

-Excellent communication skills in ENGLISH and native level of Korean.
-Clear understanding of the value contribution of product development to the overall business success.
-Value added with experience of design of experiments and statistical data analysis.
