Objectives of the Position:

Our Product Family (Industrial Connectivity, Workspace and Data Platform) delivers standardized, managed, and secure Industrial Workspace services for BASF production plants and warehouses worldwide. Covering industrial mobile devices, Windows and Linux platforms, and Industrial IoT solutions, we provide a comprehensive portfolio of endpoint and workspace services that enable reliable and secure operations in production and warehouse environments. In this role, you will be part of a global follow-the-sun organization responsible for the reliable operation and support of Industrial Workspace solutions. Working closely with product teams, technology experts, vendors, and business stakeholders, you will help ensure stable operations, resolve operational challenges, drive continuous improvements, and support global deployments and initiatives. Beyond daily operations, you will have the opportunity to contribute your ideas and experience to continuously improve services, processes, and ways of working in collaboration with product and technology teams.

Main Tasks:

• Provide service and operational support for Industrial Workspace services as part of a global follow-the-sun support organization.
• Support our customers in production and warehouse environments in close collaboration with our global technology and regional consulting teams.
• Support and operate technologies such as Enterprise Mobility Management solutions, Windows and Linux platforms, container-based infrastructures, and Industrial IoT solutions, depending on your area of expertise.
• Collaborate closely with internal DevOps teams and external technology vendors to troubleshoot issues, implement enhancements, and ensure stable and secure service operations.
• Identify opportunities to improve service quality, operational processes, and platform stability, and contribute to their implementation together with product and technology teams.
• Work in project or operation teams and contribute to service enhancements, technology initiatives, and regional deployments and rollouts.
• Industrial Workspace Devices Lifecycle Management in BASF Greater China

• As part of global IWS team, follow the standard processes to steer the full lifecycle of industrial workspace devices, including enrolment, configuration, activation, suspension, return, and decommissioning
• Support the management of device inventory, device pools, and lifecycle status to ensure transparency and cost control.
• Support the qualification and onboarding of new industrial mobile devices, including local or special devices and applications into the BASF portfolio in compliance with Industrial Mobility standards and in close collaboration with teams.

• Stakeholder Coordination & Site Enablement in BASF Greater China

• Act as the main contact window for plants, lab, logistic, maintenance, and EHS regarding industrial mobile device topics.
• Support site onboarding activities, including device rollout, user enablement, and coordination of local requirements.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, combined with 3–5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience operating and supporting enterprise-scale endpoint, mobility, or platform services.
• Hands-on experience in at least one of the following areas:
  • Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) solutions in industrial environments (e.g., SOTI MobiControl, MobileIron)
  • Windows platform operations
  • Linux and container platform operations
• Knowledge of IP networks and wireless technologies.
• Understanding security and authentication technologies, including the interaction between devices, OS, backend systems, and connectivity models.
• Strong communication skills and fluent English language skills (written and spoken), combined with a proactive and collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively in a global team environment.
