About The Role
How Will You Do It
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve site EHS standards, procedures, and preventive programs in alignment with applicable legal requirements, corporate standards, and Responsible Care® principles; coordinate hazard identification and risk assessment activities across the Innovation Campus.
- Manage and sustain the site Management of Change (MoC) process to ensure risks associated with organizational, process, facility, equipment, and operational changes are systematically evaluated and Controlled.
- Maintain and oversee all statutory EHS permits, licenses, compliance records, and documentation in coordination with the Site Director; conduct periodic compliance reviews and proactively escalate compliance gaps and corrective action.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute EHS assurance programs, including routine inspections, audits, compliance assessments, and management reviews; analyze performance trends and provide actionable recommendations to management
- Conduct workplace exposure monitoring, risk assessments, and periodic safety inspections to identify hazards, evaluate controls, and drive risk-reduction initiatives across campus operation
- Perform periodic work permit and contractor activity inspections to verify compliance with permit-to-work requirements and communicate findings, corrective actions, and best practices to relevant stalkeholders
- Lead Responsible Care® implementation activities, support internal and external audit preparation, and ensure sustained compliance with Responsible Care® standards and expectation.
- Partner with the Central Responsible Care team to deploy corporate EHS and Responsible Care® initiatives, systems, and best practices at the Innovation Campus
- Facilitate monthly EHS and Responsible Care® review meetings to monitor performance, discuss key risks, track action items, and promote continuous improvement Culture
- Develop, coordinate, and evaluate emergency preparedness and response programs, including mock drills, emergency simulations, and business continuity readiness exercises.
- Design and deliver EHS awareness programs and targeted training to enhance employee understanding of workplace hazards, safe work practices, and regulatory requirements
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective/preventive action programs to prevent recurrence and drive continual improvement in EHS performance
- Provide technical EHS guidance and subject matter expertise to site functions, project teams, contractors, and leadership to support safe and compliant business operation
- Manage contractor EHS performance by conducting prequalification reviews, safety inductions, site compliance monitoring, and ongoing contractor engagement programs
- Conduct EHS orientation and induction programs for all newly joined BASF employees and other relevant personnel to ensure awareness of site-specific requirements and expectations
- Serve as the site Technical, Documentation, and Safety (TDS) Advisor, conduct TDS audits, and support closure of identified improvement opportunities
- Support site leadership in developing EHS objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and annual improvement plans to strengthen overall EHS Performance
- Undertake special projects, initiatives, and assignments as directed by senior management in support of business, operational, and strategic objectives
What We Look For
- Education :
- University degree in Science, Chemical Technology/Engineering, Chemistry, or a related feild
- More than 10 years of experience in EHS function
- Diploma or certification in Industrial safety
- Experience in EHS assessment and management system audits (e.g., ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001)
- Knowledge of Responsible Care requirement
- Competency and knowledge of information protection requirement
