WELCOME

If you're someone who inspires others, owns their impact and wants to elevate what they do, you'll fit right in.

Until July 1, our business was part of BASF. As part of the current transition, all job listings and the application process are still hosted on the BASF platform and therefore fully presented in BASF branding.

Please do not be confused by this: All roles are positions at Surventis, and your application will be submitted to us.

At Surventis, we go beyond the surface - in everything we do. We put customers at the center, think one step ahead, and develop solutions that create real value and lasting partnerships.

We inspire each other to think further, take ownership of our work, and constantly push to elevate what's possible. If you bring your full self, challenge the obvious answer, and want to grow with a team that means it - this is your place.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

As we transform into a modern, business-partner-oriented Controlling organization, the Operations Controlling function plays a central role in steering the financial performance of our global manufacturing footprint and in providing transparency on production costs, CAPEX, and operational KPIs across our Business Units.

  • In your new role, you take global ownership of the Operations Controlling function and lead its strategic development, providing functional guidance to 14 Production and Site Controllers across Europe, the Americas, and Asia within the matrix organization while fostering a collaborative, business-partner-oriented culture.
  • You take central ownership of manufacturing controlling across all production sites of the global Coatings organization, with a particular focus on our Business Units, ensuring consistent standards, transparency, and decision-relevant insights for senior management, while steering manufacturing costs, including conversion costs and cost allocations.
  • In close alignment with Group Controlling, you drive budgeting, forecasting, and planning for manufacturing costs, ensure integration into the overall financial planning cycle, and steer CAPEX and Technical Cost Controlling at group level, providing transparency on investment performance, project status, and value contribution.
  • Furthermore, you design, build, and continuously evolve dashboards and KPI frameworks for the EVP Operations Mobility/Refinish, local site management, Plant Managers, and cross-functional stakeholders, leveraging modern BI and analytics tools to enable data-driven decision-making.
  • As a trusted finance partner to the EVP Operations Mobility/Refinish, Plant Managers, Managing Directors, and Finance leadership, you provide high-quality KPI reporting, translate operational performance into transparent value drivers, identify performance improvement opportunities, and support the realization of strategic and operational targets across the global organization.
  • Last but not least, you shape the reporting standards, tools, and processes of global Operations Controlling, drive their standardization, automation, and digitalization, and play a key role in ensuring scalability and efficiency across the global footprint.

WHAT YOU OFFER

  • university degree, preferably a master’s, in finance, controlling, business administration, industrial engineering, or a related field; CFA or MBA is an advantage
  • 10+ years of experience in controlling, FP&A, or operations/manufacturing controlling in an international industrial corporation, ideally in the chemicals or process industry, including several years in leadership roles
  • proven track record in global multi-site manufacturing controlling, including conversion cost steering, cost allocations, product costing, and CAPEX controlling in a multi-site environment
  • demonstrated leadership experience in a global matrix organization, with the ability to engage, align, and influence diverse stakeholders across regions, functions, and management levels
  • strong expertise in dashboards and KPI frameworks for senior operations stakeholders, combined with SAP S/4HANA CO, PP, MM, PM, PS, SAP Data Warehouse, and Power BI; automation and data tools are a plus
  • very good language skills in English; German is a plus, combined with strong communication skills and willingness to travel globally to production sites on a regular basis

WHAT WE OFFER

  • We offer an attractive salary with individual benefits such as performance-related bonuses. Company-funded supplementary health insurance, accident insurance and pension related benefits
  • We offer a wide range of local and global development and career opportunities for professional and personal development
  • Surventis stands for diversity - we are proud of our Coatings employee networks WomenInCoatings, Color Pride and CultiConnect
  • The feedback culture is firmly integrated into our corporate culture, e.g. through regular employee surveys and management feedback
  • At our location in Münster, we have our own fitness studio "Freizeit" with a physiotherapy practice, permanently employed company doctors, a company restaurant "Auszeit" including a café bar, a bilingual company daycare center "LackiKids" and a vacation program "LackiKids on Tour".
