About the Role

Working under the team of Corporate Insurance Asia Pacific , you will:

• Implement global insurance strategy, mainly on employee benefits with property and casualty insurance in Asia Pacific by working closely with internal stakeholders, country insurance gatekeepers, insurance companies, brokers, insurance related vendors and business partners
• Provide functional guidance to country insurance gatekeepers and HR

How You Will Do It

• Implement the global employee benefits insurance strategy across Asia Pacific by brokers and insurance companies.
• Oversee local ancillary insurance lines and related policies within the Asia Pacific region.
• Gather relevant risk information and insurance data from local countries to ensure it follows BASF insurance guidelines.
• Maintain the accuracy of internal insurance data systems by updating and verifying information from Asian countries.
• Review local fronting insurance policies in Asia Pacific to ensure it follows BASF global insurance strategy
• Manage insurance-related aspects of BASF investment projects within the Asia Pacific region.
• Coordinate insurance placements with business partners throughout Asia to facilitate effective coverage.
• Monitor the claims process and collaborate with internal business units and functions, as well as insurance brokers and companies, to ensure efficient handling of claims.
• Serve as the primary liaison with internal stakeholders, business partners, insurance companies, and brokers to support the implementation of BASF’s Global Insurance Strategy in Asia Pacific.

What We Look For

• A university degree is required, preferably in risk management, insurance, business administration, finance, or legal studies.
• Candidates must have at least five years of experience in the insurance industry. Experience should include exposure to Employee Benefits insurance, gained from working with an insurance company, captive, broker, or the insurance department of an industrial enterprise.
• Professional certifications such as FLMI, ACII, ANZIIF, or an equivalent qualification are preferred.
• Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in other Asian languages is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills are essential to effectively network and collaborate within large and intercultural teams.
• The candidate should be willing to travel within the region when necessary
