In the Cyber Engineering & Identity and Access Management Product Family, we manage the digital identity lifecycle, offer BASF-wide standard authentication and authorization services, and provide solutions related to data and device security. Join our Device & Data Security Product Team and be part of a global community where your ideas and expertise make a real impact. 

Responsibilities 

• Maintain BASF device security by planning, updating, and implementing cybersecurity measures and endpoint tools. 

• Track and resolve vulnerabilities according to severity and business impact. 

• Review and assess the effectiveness of current security measures and adapt or develop solutions to address undefined issues efficiently. 

• Report on security policy performance and suggest enhancements to stakeholders. 

• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams, product owners, and other stakeholders for guidance and support. 

• Manage tasks independently, coordinating across international and cross-organizational teams. 

• Encourage teamwork, support colleagues’ ideas, and foster shared success. 

• Share knowledge and best practices, building consensus between technical and business teams. 

• Focus on operational excellence and bring new perspectives to problem-solving. 

Requirements 

• A completed bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity or related field is required, along with a minimum of three years’ relevant professional experience. 

• Candidates should possess familiarity with Microsoft Data Security tools such as Purview, Elastic XDR suite or comparable security platforms. Demonstrated expertise in technical and design development using Python, SQL, and the Microsoft Platform—including Copilot—is essential, accompanied by strong communication and leadership skills. 

• Well-developed conflict resolution abilities and situational awareness are required. Applicants must demonstrate an agile mindset and a commitment to ongoing learning and adaptation within a dynamic technological landscape. 

• In addition to proficiency in the native language, excellent written and spoken English skills are expected.  

• Certifications such as CISSP, Microsoft M365 Security Operations Analyst, or ITIL are considered advantageous.
