WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

Corporate Finance strives to be at the forefront of BASF’s digitalization journey. We, the team Digital Excellence & Transformation, are responsible for Corporate Finance’s digital transformation by setting clear priorities on Business Steering, IT & Data as well as People & Culture. We are looking for you as a working student for up to 20 hours per week from June 2025 for a period of at least six months.

  • We drive, support and develop innovative reporting, analytics and Al solutions in the areas of financial steering and sustainability, leveraging latest technologies and effective usage of data.
  • In this role, you will develop and enhance existing business intelligence solutions in areas such as SQL, Power Platform, and Power BI and incorporating (Gen) AI.
  • Additionally, you will engage in projects that involve data modeling, reporting, and visual analytics, ensuring that our financial data is effectively transformed into actionable insights. You will also have the chance to build a global network with experts in IT, digitalization, finance, and controlling.

WHAT YOU OFFER

  • ongoing studies in computer science, information systems, business administration, or a related field with a focus on data analytics and business intelligence
  • experience in SQL, Power BI, and the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)
  • a keen interest in finance, controlling, and data-driven decision-making, with familiarity in agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum) being advantageous
  • a creative and motivated working style with a strong focus on innovation and customer service, along with excellent communication and presentation skills in English (German is a plus)
  • Members from states outside the European Economic Area and Switzerland are requested to send their residence/work permit, including the relevant supplementary sheet as well as the completed questionnaire
