We are looking for a Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our Coatings team in Windsor, ON.

BASF’s Coatings division offers innovative and ecologically viable solutions for the automotive industry, including both the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and refinish markets, as well as surface treatment solutions for a variety of markets.
 

The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the production adjustment process for the QA Departments along with oversight of the Technical group (while on shift). The successful candidate will improve efficiencies in Application, QA and Technical and be the point of contact for departments during off hours.

As a Quality Assurance Supervisor, you create chemistry by...

• Coordinating the operation and maintenance of the environmental spray booths and spray equipment.
• Supporting the service of BASF products at account sites or regions by working with various technical groups.
• Helping guide the Localization Group to ensure new and revised formulae will meet manufacturing requirements before paint is made.
• Supervising the hourly employees in meeting the objective of a safe, efficient and timely production in an environment of changing customer demands.
• Training and educating employees regarding health and safety, job methods, waste minimization, commitment to Operational Excellence and job performance.
• Recording pertinent KPI’s, accident statistics and requisition necessary supplies and materials.

If you have...

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or related Technical field preferred.
• 3 years of Supervisory experience preferred and/ or extensive technical experience.
• Experience in paint process and manufacturing methodology preferred.
• Ability to pass a visual color test.
• Familiarity with QA testing equipment and test methods.
• Proven ability to direct and motivate subordinates within an unionized setting, possess strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, effectively communicate with subordinates, peers, and supervisors regarding job instruction, quality, and performance.
