Area:

HR Services (HRS) is responsible for the experience of over 20,000 employees across BASF's operations in the Americas throughout their journey within the company, from onboarding to offboarding.

 

Main Objective:
The aim of this role is to spearhead and oversee the execution of the Talent Acquisition functions within a team supporting US & Canada, ensuring they are in line with business goals and priorities. This includes proficient stakeholder management, effective resource allocation, and the delivery of services to attract top talent to BASF, ensuring harmony with both local and regional needs and priorities. Furthermore, this manager will lead a team, providing guidance through leadership, assigning tasks, setting targets, conducting performance evaluations, and offering continuous feedback to foster team development.

 

Tasks:
• Leadership & Team Management:

  • Guide the team through leadership, including job assignments, target setting, performance evaluations and continuous feedback to ensure people development. 
  • Ensure efficient task fulfillment through the management and development of team competencies.
  • Oversee resource planning and drive hiring initiatives.
  • Drive service delivery excellence.

• Process Improvement & Compliance:

  • Actively contributes resources to various projects, leveraging digital technologies to enhance value creation and drive innovation.
  • Guarantee alignment with all legal and compliance requirements, reflecting regional priorities.

• Operational focus:

  • Foster strong collaboration among leaders, HR community (including HRBPs, HR leaders, etc.), and business leaders to ensure seamless integration and alignment of objectives to the stakeholders they support.
  • Identify and understand stakeholder’s requirements, ensuring a deep comprehension of the businesses served. Maintain excellent cooperation through regular and effective communication, consistently meeting SLAs, handling ad-hoc requests, and providing tailored solutions.

 

Requirements

  • Education: University degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Organizational Psychology, or related disciplines.
  • Working Experience: Minimum of 5 years in Service delivery in Operational & Leadership Roles, specifically in Talent Acquisition. Proven experience in managing and leading diverse teams. Experience with corresponding region culture (US & Canada) and projects (highly valued, non-exclusive).
  • Language skills: Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Technical skills: Microsoft Office package. Highly valuable ATS knowledge (Success Factors by SAP).
  • Soft Skills: Robust leadership, organizational, and strategic thinking abilities. Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence at various levels. Exceptional communication skills with a customer-centric focus. Commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and creative problem-solving.
