We are looking for a Senior Supply Chain Planner to join our Intermediates team in Florham park, NJ or Houston, TX. .

With more than 600 products in its portfolio, in particular amines, diols, polyalcohols, acids and specialties, the Intermediates division offers innovative solutions for a wide range of industries – from coatings and plastics to pharmaceuticals and crop protection.

As the key supply chain focal point within the Butanediol and Derivatives Business (CIB – Chemical Intermediates) organization, you will be responsible for planning domestic production and import products, along with global coordination. We are seeking someone like you, a self-starter who can effectively manage several high-profile products concurrently. You will work with several internal functions, including Global and Regional Supply Chain, Marketing, Sales, Controlling, Manufacturing, Customer Care, and Procurement.

As a Senior Supply Chain Planner, you create chemistry by...

• Leading regional- and global-level supply chain optimization and S&OP efforts within the Diols portfolio of products, and serving as a key interface to both the Regional and Global Product Management and Supply Chain groups.
• Collaborating across all regions (NAFTA, Europe, South America, Asia) and cross-functionally (e.g., Marketing, Supply Chain) to develop plans to optimize BASF performance globally.
• Managing production planning in a highly integrated and dynamic environment, which will include master scheduling, finite planning, distribution requirements planning, capacity balancing, and inventory management as part of a global supply network in order to meet customer and business requirements.
• Defining and participating in projects targeted to specific opportunities in SCM.
• Developing and executing production and purchase plans in support of customer service goals, inventory targets, and manufacturing efficiencies.
• Driving efforts to enhance customer relationships by collaborating and optimizing with key customers.
• Managing planning master data in OMP and SAP (R3 and APO) including article extensions, BOM’s, recipes/ routings, productions versions, etc.
• Having end-to-end ownership of order management, monitoring sales forecasts vs. actual sales and inventory levels for deviation from plan and developing initiatives and corrective actions.
• Helping, suggest and drive improvements in the CIB business which require Global or CIN Regional Supply Resources to execute.

If you...

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field, combined with professional experience preferably in planning and operations.
• Possess at least 3 years of planning experience and strong customer focus.
• Have superior analytical skills, combined with a thorough knowledge of current SCM concepts.
• Have a robust knowledge and experience working with SAP.
• Are able to successfully engage across the organization, driving strategic decisions for the business
