WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in operating production plants and machinery across various production areas. In this dynamic and diverse role, you will collaborate with a dedicated and experienced team to enhance your knowledge of the chemical industry and production processes.
As a Process Operator Apprentice your key responsibilities will include:
- Operating a chemical plant under supervision, including laboratory operations and manual handling of chemicals.
- Operating a computer-controlled chemical plant system.
- Participating in projects aimed at identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Demonstrating a strong commitment to maintaining safe working systems and practices, ensuring personal compliance with all critical operational procedures.
- Facilitating effective verbal and written communication with team members to ensure the availability of precise and appropriate information as needed.
WHAT YOU OFFER
- You must have 5 GCSEs, including Maths, English, and a Science, with grades 4-9 or an equivalent standard (predicted or actual).
- You should have an excellent attitude towards safe working, outstanding IT skills, effective communication skills, and the ability to follow procedures with a methodical approach.
- You must possess the logical ability to solve problems in a timely manner and remain calm in difficult situations. In addition to demonstrating flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work as part of a team.
- You must be self-driven, have an enthusiastic approach to work, a desire to succeed, and a willingness to learn and listen.
- You should have a good timekeeping and attendance record and be able to carry out work in accordance with the employer's health and safety guidelines.
Please note:
- In order to be considered for this position you must have the ability to pass a forklift truck driving test.
- The working hours are 37 per week.
