SAP ABAP Senior Developer

Main Objective:
Our MISSION is providing digital and core SAP procurement solutions to fulfil the requirements from BASF companies. The American team is part of the Global Procurement Team and deliver solutions for all BASF divisions.

Main Tasks:

• Elaborate technical design (ABAP /customizing) of possible solutions for subject-specific business requirements.
• Develop, configure, and test complex applications, including quality assurance and managing projects in cooperation with our business partners and third-party providers.
• Implement and/or customize relevant digital applications.
• Managing and maintaining operational business support in BASF SAP application landscape
• Steer third party provider in terms of solution or service delivery of procurement topics.
• Manage implementation workstreams for SAP procurement modules

Requirements:

• Education: o  Degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Business Informatics or in a comparable field

• Working Experience: 

• 3-5 years of experience in building/supporting complex SAP applications; especially in purchasing processes; SAP API Portal
• 3-5 years of experience in working with international project teams
• Over 3 years project experience in SAP integration (e.g., SAP4HANA) in a multi-ERP environment on enterprise level

• Language skills: Advanced/fluent written and spoken language skills in English. All meetings/workshops are in English..

• Technical skills: 

• Advanced skills in Digital technology - S4/HANA, Fiori, UI5, API. Optional: RPA / automation, Power Platform, Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence, etc
• Basic skills in Agile way of working or agile implementation approach
• Advanced skills in programming in ABAP/ABAP Objects and other programming languages/technologies such as SAP UI5, Eclipse.
• Intermediate skills in Problem management, Change Management (incl. small business requests) and Continuous Service Improvement (CSI)

• Soft skills: 

• Advanced skills in communication, negotiation, and interpersonal/intercultural skills in an international team
• Structured approach to solve problems.
