Objectives of the position Development and Support (DevOps) of Project “New Planning Landscape”, Integration & Interfaces Squad to understand and challenge the functional requirements and implement them in SAP environments as well as cloud-based environments also working in an agile way within a virtual global team
Responsibilities
- Understand the current implementation of SCM developments within SAP APO and SAP ERP.
- Shape BASF’s future planning landscape by moving existing planning processes into cloud-based planning tools by building sustainable interfaces.
- Develop, maintain & monitor interfaces for different on-premise and cloud integration scenarios
- Evaluate new requirements in close collaboration with other teams (e.g. SAP Basis, Cyber Security)
- Bring in new ideas / solutions as well as focusing on existing code’s quality (refactoring, restructuring & optimizing).
- Living end-to-end-responsibility, being able to adopt to new requirements and learning new technologies within a virtual global agile team (Scrum).
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, informatics, business informatics or in a comparable field
- Proficient in at least one programming language: Python, R, C#, …
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Good knowledge & understanding of cloud-based solutions and integration scenarios connecting via Middleware ( e.g. Kafka, SAP CPI, SAP PI/PO..)
- Knowledge related to Web Services (REST, SOAP), Streaming technologies (Kafka) and/or API development
- Good understanding of security implications when setting up cloud-solutions
- Openness to new trends and innovative solutions.
- SAP ABAB (OO) (Nice to have)
- Supply Chain Planning process knowledge
- Automated Testing
- Version Management (Git)
- Basic Understanding of Data Modeling / Data Science & Databases
- Experience with using Webservices in SAP environments (Proxy, Webservice, OData, …) & SAP CPI
