WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

We are looking for a highly dynamic and motivated colleague to join our team. We are on a mission to provide a state-of-the-art, inhouse developed, Operations Platform to BASF’s Production Plants and with that enable intensive digitalization in daily operations. We are focused on the development of Platform capabilities which make it possible to add new apps on the Production workplace and reach advanced levels of digitally assisted work processes. Our team also partners with several neighboring teams for Application product development to collaborate on an integrated platform solution. 

In this role, you will contribute to the development of a global, in-house developed full stack platform that integrates multiple domains of BASF’s manufacturing environment and successfully modernizes legacy systems. Your main taks would be:

• You will lead the delivery, operation and further development of the Operations Platform infrastructure together with the team of specialists and in alignment with the partnering product teams that build and deploy their apps on the infrastructure. 
• You will organize infrastructure Service & Support for all regions, including overseeing the efforts, following the global Operations Platform roll-out and aligned with partnering product teams. 
• You will be responsible for infrastructure-related costs. 
• You will coordinate cross-platform planning of releases, maintenance, major infra changes or projects, Incident & Quality management, and corresponding communication. 
• You will drive continuous improvement of the infrastructure reliability and shared operational processes like Release & Test Management together with all involved Operations Platform teams. 
• You will drive the cross-team cloud architecture roadmap and continuous improvement of cyber security together with enterprise architects, security specialists and product teams. 
• You will work in a global, agile development team to support the continuous integration and delivery of operations platform, both inhouse and 3rd party solutions as needed. 
• You collaborate strategically and tactically across many teams in the division to further develop a unified operations platform solution that integrates the EHS, maintenance and operations domains in a scalable cloud environment. 

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or related field 
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in relevant field. 
• Understanding of cloud environments, related infrastructure concepts and cyber security 
• Experience in delivering services & support 
• Experience with coordination, project management and working with suppliers 
• Good listener and teamplayer  
• Good communication skills and able to convince various stakeholders 
• Pro-active and “getting things done” mentality 
• Analytical capabilities and continuous learning mindset 
• Fluency in English 
• Experience working in agile software and team environment 
• Experience with IT delivery processes
