Senior Agility Master (m/f/d)

Our product, Operational Environment, Health & Safety, implements operational environmental, health and safety standards to ensure the "License to Operate“. We create a global digital solution portfolio for operational environmental, health and safety solutions. Our focus is on production safety incorporating all environmental, health and safety aspects related to manufacturing.  

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

As an Agility Master, you will have experience working in an agile environment and have already worked to increase team efficiency, motivate your team, making the case for changes that ensure both quality and timeliness. As a key driver on BASF’s path towards digitalization, you will support existing products and initiatives as well as innovate additional and new digital solutions that support BASF’s global businesses. 

In this role, you will: 

• Collaborate with a global team focused on development, implementation and support of software solutions related to the environment, health and safety (EHS) of people and production plants at BASF. 
• Provide support to ongoing development and maintenance related to the existing and continuously developing global portfolio of operational EHS digital solutions 
• Support project work related to implementation of an existing offering or development of a new solution within the operational EHS portfolio 

Digitization / innovation  

Act as a Global / Regional representative of BASF Digital community, supporting BASF Digital roadmap, helping GDS to identify, execute and implement customer-centric digital solutions in an actionable and measurable way. 

• Facilitate agile scrum ceremonies through daily stand-up meetings, sprint review, and sprint retrospective meetings. 
• Support senior developers and product owner to prioritize product development backlog and report team progress through standard agile metrics 
• Contribute to the drafting of project and product documentation such as user guides, onboarding practices, and deployment and implementation guides. 
• Actively driving improvement and growth of the team continuously with regards to Agile practices to maturity, establishing best practices and improve collaboration and effectiveness 
• Support the overall communication efforts related to the product, such as release notes and project updates, as well as internal communications to ensure the development teams are working in a collaborative way. 
• Support the broader team through efforts in communications, training, onboarding, and data-driven decision-making. 

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree or significant work experience in Computer Science, IT, informatics, business informatics or in a comparable field 
• Certification in agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, LEAN) 
• Optional: Professional coaching certification   
• Plus: Certification in DevOps tools (e.g. JIRA, DevOps Azure) 
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role agile projects and agile implementation, in a global agile team setting 
• Experiencing Agile way of working or agile implementation approach 
• Strong Digital mindset to accelerate BASF Digitalization transformation journey 
• Strong communication skills 
• Proficient English in both written and verbal. 
• Comfortable with digital technologies 
• Excellent communication skills 
• Experience in coaching others  
• Excellent in facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution 
• Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership and conflict resolution 
• Experience leading teams. Team-player and team-builder. 
• Building a trusting and safe environment  
• Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques e.g. Agile Games, User Stories, estimation and others 
• Other Agile frameworks (valuable: Kanban, Scrum, Jira Frameworks, Scaled agile, …). 
• Organizational development and change catalyst
