Objectives of the position Global Digital Services (GDS) is supporting BASF business in Digitalization transformation. Our MISSION is to drive forward the digital transformation of BASF, providing innovative, global and high quality digital products and services through a strong agile culture. We develop and operate Mobile solutions. As part of the Mobile Solutions team, you will be developing mobile applications for internal customers, supporting team initiatives and operations.

Responsibilities

• Support BASF’s Digital roadmap by developing mobile apps, using agile ways of working in a DevOps approach.

• Collaborate and work closely with our internal customer in development process.

• Review current processes and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Support our internal customer by providing a solution that is suited to their use cases.

• Develop and maintain mobile applications using Flutter also troubleshoot and debug code.

• Work with a team of developers to design and implement new features and working with other departments to gather requirements and specifications.

• Stay updated on the latest web development technologies and passionate about creating user-friendly, intuitive applications.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, informatics, business informatics or in a comparable field

• 2+ years of mobile development experience, including at least 1 year in Flutter.

• Published at least one Flutter app in Google Play Store and/or Apple App Store.

• Security Concepts.

• Experience in native app development with Swift and/or Kotlin.

• Have experience in agile way of working (SCRUM/Kanban).

• Tools: Android Studio, VS Code, Azure DevOps, Git.

• Knowledge in build pipelines (CI/CD).

• Fastlane for app signing and deployment.

• Knowledge in SDK development

• General understanding in agile methodologies and able to organize work independently.

• A growth mindset with a curiosity to learn and improve.

• Team player with strong interpersonal, written, and verbal English communication skills.

• Able to work in a multicultural team spread across the globe.

• Strong Digital mindset to accelerate BASF Digitalization transformation journey.

• Experience with RESTful APIs to connect mobile applications to back-end services.

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

• Understanding of mobile application design principles, interface guidelines, and best practices.

• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.
