Area:

Environmental, Health & Safety is a Hub team that interacts regionally and globally with different business units and sites, providing services related to ecology, hygiene, safety, and quality. EHS is divided into two main areas: Product Safety—which provides support to businesses to ensure that products comply with health and safety regulations and standards—and Site EHSQ—which offers support to work sites to operate safely.

 

Main Objective:

The EHS Project Specialist is responsible for managing projects related to environmental protection, occupational health, safety, and regulatory compliance. This role ensures that all initiatives align with corporate goals and effectively contribute to a safe and sustainable workplace.

 

Main Tasks:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute EHS projects to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to provide guidance and support to employees on new EHS projects.
  • Examine and stay updated on relevant EHS regulations, codes, and standards, ensuring compliance across all projects. Develop and implement projects to achieve and sustain compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Ensure effective communication to promote EHS initiatives and projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategies and projects that improve EHS performance.
  • Anticipate potential challenges and opportunities in the area and take initiative to address them, gaining alignment with key stakeholders.
  • Consolidate the needs of service recipients and contribute with ideas for continuous improvement.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Languages: Advanced English; intermediate Portuguese is an advantage.
  • 5 to 8 years of working experience. 3 to 5 years of experience in project management within an industrial or manufacturing setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Advanced skills in service mindset, customer focus and collaboration for achievement
  • Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to leverage data for continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional, multi-business unit (BU), virtual, and matrixed business environment.
  • Knowledge of project management and IT tools (eg. Microsoft package, Power BI, Azzure) is required and intermediate knowledge in safety management systems
  • Sense of proactivity and the ability to make informed decision-making.
