Specialist EU Site Power and Guarantees of Origins (m/f/d)

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

As Specialist EU Site Power and Guarantees of Origins you will be the central contact person for sites in Europe (key account) for renewable power to support CO2 reduction targets, establishing partnerships and for BASF sites for Guarantees of Origins (GO).

• You will be responsible for the portfolio management of GOs (supply & demand balance).
• In addition, you will monitor future renewable power and GO market and regulatory developments.
• Furthermore, you will support the strategy development and implementation for green power supply for BASF EU sites.
• You will be the sparring partner for power, regulatory and site-specific optimization incl. flexibility options and will take over the conclusion and management of contracts between BASF Renewable Energy GmbH or local electricity suppliers and sites.

WHAT YOU OFFER

• Commercial vocational training or completed bachelor (industrial engineering / engineering, business informatics / computer science, economics or comparable)
• Experience in the energy industry and excellent knowledge about power markets and regulations in EU countries
• Experience in power purchasing on the markets and via tenders and site management as well as knowledge of renewable energy
• IT and system affinity
• Able to manage yourself and your time 
• Excellent language skills in German and English written and spoken; any other EU language is a plus
