In our Corporate Legal, Compliance & Insurance unit we advise on legal issues and insurance and support the BASF Group's Compliance & Integrity Program. With our expertise, we support our colleagues as an active partner. Our global team ensures that our advice is always close to the customer.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In our unit, we manage global insurance matters. We create value through efficient risk management, including loss prevention and financially optimized insurance solutions. Compliance and governance are our top priorities. As a service unit, we see ourselves as a professional and committed partner to BASF's operational departments and service units. We are currently looking for a team lead for the Property Insurance area, who will lead the Competence Center for property and business interruption insurances and terrorism coverage.

• In your role, you will independently fulfill the employer's responsibilities under the Occupational Health and Safety Act concerning the employees under your disciplinary supervision.
• You will be responsible for the property and business interruption insurances of the BASF Group and shape the contractual framework conditions.
• In close coordination with the Central Risk Insurance, you will negotiate with insurers and monitor the relevant insurance market.
• Furthermore, you will support the contractual claims settlement for the aforementioned insurances and ensure adherence to the Insurance Guidelines. 
• Finally, you will ensure compliance for the insurance programs mentioned above.

QUALIFICATIONS

• completed studies in the field of insurance or a comparable qualification
• solid knowledge in the area of property and business interruption insurances as well as several years of leadership experience
• high negotiation skills and assertiveness
• independent working style, confident demeanor, and analytical thinking ability
• advanced communication skills in German and English
