Research Executive
Objectives of the position
Following the guidance from the Lab Team Leader, to plan and carry out organic reactions on laboratory scale independently and safely. To ensure timely completion of the projects with sample synthesis and analysis while maintaining proper documentation of analysis and results.
Main Tasks
- Planning, execution and work up of organic reactions on laboratory scale to provide synthetic organic materials for further research purposes as per project requirements.
- Monitoring of reactions TLC, HPLC and GC.
- Interpretation of NMR and analytical results.
- Summary of results obtained in laboratory, documentation in lab journals and creating lab reports.
- Optimize process flows and methods of concerned working fields. Evaluate, inquire, document and present results if necessary.
- Cooperates in cross functional project teams and idea generation.
- Acquire and document existing and elaborated knowledge.
- Take relevant instrument super-user and EHS responsibilities.
- Education and supporting of trainees as well as interns and ensure targeted safe work performance.
- Responsible for working in the lab according to corporate, company and statutory EHS requirements. Implement the relevant EHS policies and procedures including the observation of all company’s operations.
Education & Qualification
Masters in Organic Chemistry (Post Graduation)

- To initiate new reactions and chemical processes and record the results.
- To recommend and modify reaction and process conditions based on results obtained, while complying to EHS requirements.
- To identify any problems related to product, process, quality, and instruments.
- To initiate, recommend and provide solutions through designated channels.
Responsibility
- Execution of lab work according to the project milestone. Timely completion of projects.
- Literature survey and documentation of results and report preparation
- Organization of work: planning of reactions, reaction monitoring, product purification and analysis. Ensuring availability of required chemicals, necessary resources, instruments for completion of lab work.
