What you can expect

Through the introduction of the Lean Six Sigma (LSS) methods and tools within our division Performance Materials (PM), we want to improve customer satisfaction by improving quality, time and costs of the products and services we deliver. As member of the PM global LSS team, you will support the organization in installing this high-performance continuous improvement culture in all areas of the business. You will assist colleagues in identifying improvement opportunities across the value chain and develop sustainable solutions through coaching. Additionally, you will help to establish the Lean Six Sigma methodology as a fundamental skill set by training, setting up of exchange platforms and targeted communication actions.
This position reports to the PM Lean Six Sigma Head and is located in the PM Headquarters in Waterloo (near Brussels), Belgium.

  • You will drive implementation of a new continuous LSS transformation in PM, and support communication and change management.
  • You are able to work with methods and tools e.g. DMAIC, Design for Six Sigma, Hoshin Kanri, Lean Six Sigma toolbox.
  • You will design together with the colleagues in the functions new processes starting from the customer demands and help to make our organization more agile by simplifying processes over the globe.
  • You will bring customer focus in the organization by supporting our business units with strategy/policy deployment.
  • You will identify and execute end-to-end improvement projects across areas of sales, product management as well as operations and supply chain.

What we expect

  • You have a Master Degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Business or equivalent and have a minimum of 3 - 5 years of industry experience (automotive, consumer goods or chemistry is a plus).
  • You are Black Belt trained or certified, you have a proven LeanSixSigma and continuous improvement track record and you have experience in Program & Project Management as well as in Change Management.
  • You have experience in statistical software application / tools for data analysis and process mapping software.
  • You have an analytical mindset, good problem-solving skills and knowledge of statistical tools and methodologies, quality and financial principles.
  • You are able to think strategically and execute tactically. Also, you are agile, flexible and open to new ideas, which you use in combination with your negotiation, conflict resolution and influencing skills.
  • You can drive active change management through training, communication and community exchange
  • You have fluent written and spoken English skills and knowledge of German is a plus.
  • For this job, you have to be willing to travel.
