WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

We will soon be establishing a separate company within our Agricultural Solutions division. In the meantime, you will be employed on a fixed-term basis by BASF Jobmarkt GmbH, with a binding commitment to fixed-term employment in the new company.

 

In our unit Global Online Communications Agricultural Solutions, we are responsible for content and channel management across social media and websites, as well as for the use of Generated Artificial Intelligence in communications. As part of your role as Social Media Specialist, you will manage our major global social media channels (LinkedIn, Instagram. Facebook and YouTube).

  • In your new role, you develop and implement a global social media strategy for a publicly listed company in close collaboration with relevant internal stakeholders and expert teams.
  • You manage and further develop global social media channels such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and X, including the planning and execution of paid campaigns such as Thought Leader Ads.
  • Additionally, you plan and create strategic content for global social media channels in close collaboration with internal experts, ensuring alignment with the communication requirements of a publicly listed company.
  • You develop new social media series and formats based on current trends and continuously evolve existing formats such as “People in Ag”, LinkedIn Live, “Follow a Farmer” and event coverage for trade fairs and PGA events.
  • Furthermore, you monitor capital market related social media coverage, manage responses to inquiries and conduct social listening to track public sentiment, identify reputational risks and uncover positioning opportunities.
  • Not least, you measure and analyze relevant KPIs to ensure the effectiveness of the social media strategy, further develop channels for key external stakeholders and oversee quality and cost control of internal and external service providers.

WHAT YOU OFFER

  • university degree in marketing, communications, digital media or comparable field
  • several years of professional experience in social media, online communication or corporate communications
  • expert knowledge in online communication and text and media production
  • strong expertise in communication and PR as well as communication strategy and planning
  • solid experience in project management and digital tools such as web-based applications, IT systems and PowerPoint
  • advanced English and good German language skills
