WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

We in Agricultural Solutions are preparing to be an independent, pure-play agricultural company within BASF group (see here: BASF targets Frankfurt Stock Exchange as listing location for Agricultural Solutions and presents its new Management Board). To be ready for independence as a stock-listed corporation, we are looking for you to join us in our new Corporate roles.

• In your new position, you hire, structure, and lead the Internal Audit (IA) team targeted to be composed of around 12 FTE located in our headquarter as well as at our main global locations, while managing the global IA budget.
• You report to the CFO of Agricultural Solutions, with a functional line to the board audit committee
• Your expertise is in demand! You define and steer the IA charter, establish the audit strategy, and set a robust methodology to guide global audit activities.
• In addition, you design and implement the annual risk‑based audit plan to ensure comprehensive audit coverage aligned with organizational priorities.
• Together with your team, you oversee audits covering among others financial reporting and close processes, IT general controls (ITGC), and MAR/disclosure controls across the global organization.
• Last but not least, you ensure timely issue remediation and follow‑up, driving a strong culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and control effectiveness.

WHAT YOU OFFER

• master’s degree or similar complemented by further education in auditing, finance, or a related field
• extensive professional experience, including several years leading an internal audit team in a listed company
• strong knowledge of financial reporting processes, ITGC frameworks, audit methodologies, and risk‑based planning
• proven digital and AI focus with the ability to leverage modern technologies and data-driven approaches to enhance efficiency and quality
• excellent English skills as well as confident use of SAP and standard MS Office applications
• strong leadership and communication skills, paired with strategic thinking, solution orientation, and a collaborative working style
