  • Expert Negotiators leverage their knowledge and experience to deliver to achieve an edge with advanced negotiation design
  • Negotiations Managers drive the Negotiation strategy within our categories, define the negotiation tactics and are accountable for their execution.
  • The global team of Negotiations Mgmt continuously builds expertise in state-of-the-art Negotiations know-how and translates this into supporting frameworks & IT tools
  • Negotiations Managers specialize further in certain negotiation areas and typically support a set of categories/clusters as required


Main Tasks:

  • Developing the negotiation strategy for the assigned categories
  • Designing the tactics for a given negotiation incl. format and participants/roles to reach the targets set by the respective Procurement Strategy Manager
  • Accountable for execution of negotiations and documentation of negotiation result (commercial terms, e.g., price, volume allocation) incl. contracts (if applicable), incl. development & implementation of outline agreements and price lists
  • Enhancing the know-how and building expertise in negotiation through active research and participation in trainings, conferences, etc.
  • Driving the development and/or implementation of supporting (IT) tools for negotiations, e.g., auction processes, behavioral economics, documentation etc.



  • Bachelor degree, chemical background preferred. MBA is a plus.
  • Min. 5 years working experience with procurement, marketing or sales.
  • Flexibility for business trips to suppliers and working places /plants of BASF Coatings in Asia Pacific requested.
  • Good English skills in both writing and speaking
  • Open minded and passionate on taking challenging tasks
