We are looking for a Site Manager to join our Performance Materials team in Toronto, ON.

The Performance Materials division is at the forefront of the much-needed sustainability transformation in plastics. Our experts co-create products with customers to bring innovations to major industry sectors such as transportation, consumer goods, industrial applications, and construction. These solutions contribute to a sustainable future by pushing the boundaries in thermal resistance, robustness and lightweight applications.
We are seeking a professional like you to provide leadership, direction, and focus for all manufacturing activities at the Toronto site. This includes leadership for a broad range of activities including EH&S, operations (production, quality, maintenance, shipping and receiving, and warehouse), continuous improvement, technology, and all capital projects necessary to support Performance Materials (PMN) growth plans. In addition, you will ensure that processes and activities comply with BASF policies, regulations, and our values for safety, quality, environmental, financial and stewardship.
You will interact with various business and support organizations across BASF in fulfilling the mission of the business and sites, ensuring customer satisfaction, and achieving operational excellence. You will lead a team of around 30 people.
As a Site Manager- Toronto, you create chemistry by...
- Utilizing your critical experience in the success areas of EH&S, cost reduction, quality improvement, cycle time reduction, asset optimization, and application of current and developing technologies and manufacturing trends.
- Being responsible for all aspects of operating the site in BASF accountable and responsible for the regulatory, fiscal, legal, environmental compliance, and operational integrity of the site team and daily operations.
- Leading and directing the site team to achieve the operational plan commitment for the Toronto site, in terms of quality, speed, cost & EH&S to meet the BASF strategy.
- Relying on your business acumen to develop and implement budget, objectives, personnel plans, inventory management, and capital plans that align with the strategic objectives of the businesses supplied by Toronto.
- Developing and implementing manufacturing and asset strategies to ensure assets are aligned with business strategies; that ensure technology transfers are issue-free; as well as provide for reliable & flexible product availability while maximizing asset utilization.
- Building strong teams, coaching, influencing and guiding employees, and recognizing and developing talent throughout the organization while using your ability to help them reach their full potential.
- Creating a culture of continuous improvement in EHS, operations, and technology which will be essential as you lead the Toronto site.
If you have...
- A bachelor's degree in a science or engineering related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in the critical areas of success of EH&S, cost reduction, quality improvement, cycle time reduction, asset optimization, and application of current and developing technologies and manufacturing trends preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated leadership experience in manufacturing in an engineering, technical services, maintenance, EHS and/or operations role preferred.
- Effective communication skills and a proven successful track record for creating continuous improvements.

Pay Transparency
BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive Pay Range for this role is $133,400- $200,160 CAD. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
