As a Shipper, you will support the safe and efficient movement, handling, packaging, storage, and shipment of raw materials and finished products. In this role, you will operate logistics and material handling equipment, support additive production and shipping activities, manage inventory and warehouse processes, and ensure compliance with operational, quality, environmental, health, and safety requirements.
During your 12 hour shift as a Shipper, you will
- Perform shared logistics duties including participating in housekeeping audits, following Blending Coordinator instructions and notes, completing safety shift inspection checklists, reporting repair needs, working with other Logistics Operators and Team Leaders to prioritize workload, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Understand, monitor, and operate within process safety operational guidelines, complete required process safety training, report process safety incidents, access SDS forms and EHS procedures, and follow written and verbal instructions while working independently to task completion.
- Direct truck drivers from staging areas and truck stops using telephones, CB radios, and plant radios, including properly spotting trucks according to procedures.
- Safely operate, maintain, perform minor repairs, and make proper adjustments to associated equipment, while properly labeling, storing, and handling materials used in logistics and production operations.
- Support export shipping activities by operating forklifts, pre-loader vehicles, blender loading systems, tote bin loaders, scales, chutes, and conveyors, as well as filling, labeling, staging, storing, and loading super sacks, tote bins, sea bulk containers, and domestic FCC shipments.
- Manufacture and package additive products by following process orders and procedures, weighing and blending components, selecting appropriate raw material lots, storing materials by lot and grade, sampling and labeling products, generating SDS shipping labels, and packaging additive production campaigns for transfer.
- Manage inventory and warehouse activities including locating and inventorying additives and raw materials, controlling inventory through computer and scanner systems, receiving packaging supplies and materials, verifying quantities against receiving documentation, and receiving, inspecting, repairing, and storing returned tote bins.
- Participate as a member of the Attapulgus Site Confined Space Rescue Team, utilize respiratory protection as required, maintain annual fit-testing certification, and perform additional duties assigned by supervision.
If you...
- Hold a valid driver's license.
- Have the ability to safely operate, maintain, perform minor repairs, and make proper adjustments on associated equipment in assigned work areas.
- Are able to follow written and verbal instructions and work independently to task completion.
- Can read, write, count, and perform accurate arithmetic calculations using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Have the ability to use computers to access procedures, SDS information, inventory systems, shipping documentation, email, and other operational resources.
- Are able to properly label, store, receive, inspect, and manage materials in accordance with site procedures.
- Can safely operate a forklift and successfully complete required forklift training.
- Are able to use normally available resources such as Process Orders, Procedures, and notes to perform required job duties and complete qualification sign-offs.

Pay transparency
The pay rate for this role is $28.89 per the Union's collective bargaining agreement.
