As a Security Specialist, you will serve as the Site Security Representative (SSR) and Information Protection Officer, leading the development, implementation, and oversight of site security programs while providing expert guidance on security, investigations, crisis management, and regulatory compliance. This role also supports Site Services EHS and Responsible Care initiatives and manages learning and development administration for the Site Services organization.

As a Security Specialist, you create chemistry by...

• Overseeing security incident reporting, conducting incident follow-up activities, and generating and analyzing security reports.
• Coordinating training programs for proprietary and contracted security personnel, including new hire orientation, employee, contractor, and security officer training, while administering Learning & Development requirements for the Site Services team.
• Reviewing and approving site security-related projects independently with limited supervision, utilizing strong organizational and project management skills.
• Assisting with coordinating site security projects and ensuring their timely and successful completion.
• Ensuring completion of monthly RCMS program checks and reports for security and all other Site Services RCMS program requirements, while maintaining updated Site Procedures and Security Post Orders.
• Managing site access control systems, camera systems, guard force security and safety operations, and site receptionist personnel.
• Maintaining compliance with the Site Security Plan (SSP), corporate background check policies, and other security procedures, while assisting with audits, assessments, compliance inspections, and the development of site security policies and procedures.
• Serving as the Site Information Protection Officer, implementing the site's Information Protection awareness program to mitigate intellectual property loss risks and ensure ongoing security compliance.

If you...

• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree, Associate Degree, or equivalent military or law enforcement training, along with 5+ years of security, EHS, law enforcement, or related experience.
• Maintain strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with peers, senior leaders, security vendors, law enforcement agencies, and external stakeholders.
• Possess demonstrated knowledge of Electronic Security Systems (ESS), including access control, alarm systems, video surveillance, security hardware, and related safeguards and countermeasures.
• Bring experience conducting investigations and handling sensitive matters with professionalism, sound judgment, and discretion.
• Demonstrate the ability to translate strategic direction into actionable plans, leverage available resources, and deliver results independently.
• Exhibit the capability to engage cross-functional partners and coordinate security projects while balancing competing priorities and business objectives.
• Showcase experience managing contracted security guard services through performance metrics and targeted KPIs, as well as implementing information protection awareness and training programs.
• Retain knowledge of federal and local law enforcement structures, Responsible Care Management Systems (RCMS), and business systems such as SAP, financial management, and budgeting processes.
