We are looking for a Production Operator- Pesol to join our Performance Materials team in Malcom, IA.

Our experts co-create products with customers to bring innovations to major industry sectors such as transportation, consumer goods, industrial applications, and construction.These solutions contribute to a sustainable future by pushing the boundaries in thermal resistance, robustness and lightweight applications.

As a Production Operator for our Performance Materials business unit, you will gain meaningful experience working an operations team in the production of Polyester Polyols at our Malcom, Iowa site.

We are seeking a safety-focused professional like you to operate reactors, blend tanks, filling systems, and loading and unloading equipment at our Malcom facility. In this role, you will manufacture quality finished goods, manage raw materials, monitor and adjust production equipment, and support safe, efficient plant operations while working as part of a collaborative production team.

 During your 12- hour shift (day or night) as a Production Operator- Pesol, you will 

 

  • Operate reactors, blend tanks, control systems, and filling and loading equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with procedures, batch sheets, and supervisor direction.
  • Load and unload tank trucks, railcars, totes, drums, and pails; moving raw materials and scrap with a forklift; and completing required batching activities.
  • Inspect equipment, reading and recording operating data, making appropriate adjustments, and performing light maintenance and housekeeping to keep production running smoothly.
  • Perform basic lab analyses to track batch progression and ensure good product quality.
  • Follow all EHS requirements, including safe work permits, lockout/tagout, line break, PPE, hot work, respirator use, and required safety and job training.
  • Contribute to safety, quality, cost, productivity, and morale goals by using LEAN tools, supporting improvements, communicating across shifts, and helping the team respond to changing production needs.

 

If you… 

 

  • Possess a High school diploma or equivalent; with manufacturing experience (preferred).
  • Are able to work 12-hour night shifts, weekends, and overtime as required while reliably performing multiple production assignments.
  • Have strong safety mindset with the ability to follow written and verbal operating instructions and communicate effectively in a team environment.
  • Have the ability to wear required PPE and a respirator, operate a forklift, work in industrial conditions, stand and walk for extended periods, climb and bend, and lift or move up to 55 pounds.
