We are looking for Production Area Supervisors to join our Care Chemicals team in Mauldin, SC.

As a Production Area Supervisor you will support the day-to-day operation of the plant, providing technical leadership in executing the required production plan. You will be responsible for leading manufacturing operations with a strong focus on safety, compliance, team development, and operational excellence, providing technical leadership in executing the required production plan.  This role drives a culture of accountability and continuous improvement while ensuring adherence to all safety, environmental, and operational standards.

 

As a Production Area Supervisor, you create chemistry by…

  • Driving a strong safety culture by promoting risk reduction, ensuring EHS compliance, and supporting emergency response (e.g., Incident Commander / First Aid)
    • Conducting safety engagements during daily activities and ensure compliance with all site safety rules and procedures.
    • Conducting routine area tours to verify safe operations, ensure adherence to procedures, and maintain high housekeeping standards.
  • Leading day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring safe, efficient execution of duties across the shifts. 
    • Maintaining direct accountability for all manufacturing functions within the assigned area.
  • Coaching and developing operators and team members, ensuring completion of required training and achievement of performance goals
    • Overseeing the training and development of new hires, existing employees, and contractors; in alignment with the site’s competency-based training program.
  • Ensuring effective communication, troubleshooting process issues, and collaborating cross-functionally to drive operational excellence
  • Maintaining accurate systems, reporting, and documentation (AIM, MOC, SAP, batch records) to support compliance and business continuity
  • Ensuring environmental and regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives
    • Responsible for compliance with environmental and regulatory permits, including wastewater, stormwater, SPCC, etc.
    • Implementing and overseeing the RCRA compliance program, including: proper storage, labeling, and marking of materials; routine inspections; compliance with <90-day accumulation requirements, proper packaging, and handling of regulated materials
  • Reinforcing accountability, operational discipline, and a culture of teamwork, ownership, and continuous improvement.
    • Set clear expectations and maintain accountability for adherence to procedures and standards at all levels of the organization.

 

If you…

 

  • Hold a High School diploma, or equivalent.
  • Preferrably have 2 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Are able to work 8hr day shift pattern, Monday to Friday and any necessary overtime. Rotational on-call duties during weekends. 
  • Are safety conscious when working with and around chemicals, have knowledge of the proper methods of handling corrosive, flammable and explosive materials, have knowledge of quality control procedures.
  • Are able to prioritize tasks and be self-motivated, show initiative, have excellent attention to detail, are results oriented and customer focused, possess good communication skills, and possess the ability to work in a team environment.  .   
  • Possess strong troubleshooting skills, familiarity with chemical processing equipment, strong and effective interpersonal skills.
  • Have experience in process hazard analysis, management of change, root cause analysis, and incident investigations.
