We are seeking a Production Shift Group Leader for the rotating 6pm-6am night shift.
The Production Shift Group Leader supervises a shift of 6-10 union-represented production operators and is responsible the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the Aqueous Dispersions Department while meeting objectives for quality and cost.

As a Shift Group Leader ...
- Conducts daily tailgate meetings to review safety message, communicates work assignments, reviews production status and priorities with strong emphasis on production efficiency and performance, attends Daily Operating Team (DOT) meetings, and submitting complete and thorough written production logs documenting the activities of the shift to communicate issues with peers and all levels of the organization as appropriate.
- Supervising daily safety issues in the department, documenting safety incidents through the Accident/Incident Management Program. Active participation in site safety programs and ensuring compliance with site safety procedures.
- Submitting work notifications to address repairs, participating in the prioritization of maintenance needs and preparing accurate safe work permits and other permits as needed for Maintenance to complete the work safely.
- Performing accurate and timely transactions in SAP to post production, to consume raw materials and to verify and/or perform material movements.
- Setting/maintaining high housekeeping standards within the department, monitoring through documented housekeeping audits, making assignments as needed to address deficiencies.
- Ensuring departmental procedures are current, accurate and being followed, and that direct reports have completed all necessary training and are qualified to perform the work assigned.
- Maintains time and attendance program for hourly personnel for all matters impacting Payroll and compliance with site attendance policy. This includes ensuring adequate staffing levels for upcoming shifts through the scheduling of vacation and overtime as appropriate

Formula for Success ...
- High School diploma/GED AND 5+ years of working in a chemical or other manufacturing environment with proven track record of results.
- Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in a variety of computer applications including Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel & Word), inventory and production reporting system (SAP) or similar platforms, and payroll systems.
- Safety focus including a Zero-incident mindset.
- Willing and able to go up & down stairs and ladders, be on your feet most of the shift, able to lift up to 50 lbs and working in all weather conditions
- Willing and able to work rotating 12 hours night shifts 6pm-6am.
