Attapulgus, GA (Onsite)

 

We are looking for a Concentrator Operator to join our Catalyst team in Attapulgus, GA.

BASF’s Catalysts division is the global market leader in catalyst technologies. The division develops and produces mobile emissions catalysts as well as process catalysts and offers precious metals trading, recycling and related products and services.  

 

As a Concentrator Operator supporting our manufacturing operations, you will play an essential role in maintaining safe, efficient, and reliable production processes. Working closely with operations, maintenance, and laboratory teams, you will operate and monitor concentrator and boiler systems, help ensure product quality, and support our commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and operational excellence. 

 

During your 12 hour rotating shift as a Concentrator Operator, you will

  • Operate, start up, monitor, and shut down concentrator and boiler equipment to support continuous manufacturing operations.
  • Monitor critical operating parameters, adjust process conditions, and manage material transfers to ensure safe and efficient production. 
  • Sample products, perform quality testing, document results, and enter process data into electronic systems.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards, inspect equipment, identify maintenance needs, and communicate operational concerns to supervisors.
  • Follow all environmental, health, safety, and process safety requirements while supporting safe and compliant plant operations.

If you...

  • Have a high school diploma or GED and are able to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Can operate industrial equipment, use process control systems, and work with computer-based applications such as electronic logs, laboratory systems, and email.
  • Are willing and able to work an 8-hour shift in a manufacturing environment and climb structures, including tanks up to 40 feet in height.
  • Can safely recognize and respond to operational, environmental, and personnel hazards while following established procedures.
  • Are able to maintain respirator qualifications and wear respiratory protection when required.

This position is part of the United Steel Workers Union and is covered under the collective bargaining agreement.  All benefits are outlined in this agreement.

Pay transparency

 

The pay rate for this role is $28.89 per the Union's collective bargaining agreement.
