Direct Tax Specialist, UK & Ire

RESPONSIBILITIES

As Direct Tax Specialist, UK & Ire your responsibilities will include:

• Ensure completion, accuracy, and timeliness of direct tax returns and associated reporting requirements, including managing external tax advisers in Ireland for CT compliance.
• Advise on direct tax matters, including transfer pricing, related to business reorganisation, merger, acquisition, and divestment projects, ensuring compliance and efficient tax structures. Additionally delivering timely, clear, and accurate direct tax advice to the business, including managing external tax advisers in Ireland for general (non-indirect) tax advice.
• Ensure complete and accurate tax accounting in both group accounts and statutory accounts, and effectively handle direct tax audits and enquiries with support from the UK & Ireland Tax Manager.
• Accurately and promptly handle non-tax return related obligations such as Senior Accounting Officer, DAC6 reporting, CbCR reporting, Pillar II compliance, Corporation Tax payments, and Form 46G (Ireland), while promptly providing requested tax information to the central tax team.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant tax experience and be either CTA Qualified (with first-time passes preferred) or ACA qualified (with first-time passes preferred). 
• Strong tax technical skills, specifically in UK Corporation Tax, and be capable of independently handling complex tax matters. 
• Strong multitasking skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate complex tax matters to a diverse audience.
