Objectives of the Position

 

• Manage all Logistics and Warehouse related activities
• Ensure smooth operations for all inbound and outbound deliveries, resolving disputes between various stakeholders
• Provide visibility and timely updates for all deliveries through detailed tracking
• Evaluate, manage and improve Logistics Service Providers'(LSP) performance, including supporting of sourcing and contract renewal activities where necessary

 

Main Areas of Responsibilities and Key Activities

 

Logistics Planning and Management

• Coordinate, plan and manage all shipments (inbound, outbound) including ensuring all paperwork and documentation required are correct, complete and on time.
• Track and trace shipments in real-time and identify potential delays to provide timely and accurate updates to stakeholders.
• Evaluate and manage LSPs' performance, including troubleshooting issues and resolving disputes.
• Support and provide volume estimates and requirements to procurement team, including supporting contract renewals with Global Procurement where needed.
• Work with procurement team to source and manage spot-rate enquiries and services for categories that are not under any current LSP contracts.
• Work with Planning team to plan and coordinate movement of materials based on production site requirements and space availability.
• Drive improvements for day-to-day logistics operations and develop mitigation plans for any potential logistics disruptions.
• Verify suppliers' invoices for all freight and LSP related activities, ensuring relevant charges are correct and charged to customers accordingly if necessary.
• Handle system transactions for all delivery related activities.

 

Warehouse Management

• Manage and coordinate all 3PL related activities.
• Perform related system transactions for all warehouse related activities
• Ensure accuracy in inventory records and transactions performed at on-site warehouse, 3PL and toller warehouse.
• Manage stock-take including reconciliation process and root cause corrective action analysis with follow ups for action completion.
• Drive improvements for day-to-day warehouse operations with 3PL and implement cost-down or efficiency projects where feasible
• Evaluate and manage 3PL performance, including troubleshooting issues and resolving disputes.
• Management of waste disposal coordination with waste disposal vendor including e-Tracking.

 

Others
• Perform warehouse and logistics system related transactions.
• Maintain and file all warehouse documentation including Production workorders
• Provide statistics record as and when requested. 
• Create NCM records for all logistics and warehouse related non-conformance issues.
• Hazardous Substances (HS) Code classification checking with SG customs.
• Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are available and updated.
• Support team members as required.
• Any other tasks or projects as assigned by Head of Department (HOD)

 


Job Requirements

 

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations or Business Admin   
Skills & Knowledge:
• At least 5 years’ experience in logistics, supply chain and warehouse operations 
• Good knowledge of the Supply Chain related processes
• Experience in manufacturing environment and dangerous goods will be advantageous
• Working knowledge of import and export operations
• Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures
• SAP experience with WMS knowledge preferred
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities
