BASF Coatings UK Limited supplies Automotive OEM and component manufacturers with all four layers of coatings – e-coats, primers, basecoats and clearcoats. We have a significant presence of service staff across the UK’s car and automotive components manufacturing plants. Our Automotive Refinish coatings are approved by most of the leading manufacturers for use in their authorised body shops. We focus on eco efficient waterborne and high-solids coatings with low solvent content. We supply Glasurit and R-M refinish paints and provide staff training.
 
** Remote Position - UK Wide **

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

In this Business Development Manager role, you will develop strong business relationships with existing and prospective UK commercial vehicle customers and increase market share of BASF refinish paint products.

 

-  You will be responsible for identifying, maintaining and developing opportunities for the promotion of BASF refinish products and services within the UK commercial vehicle market.
-  You will develop relationships and identify opportunities for growth of sales with key customers within the commercial vehicle bodybuilder segment.
-  You will collaborate closely with colleagues in the commercial vehicle team to deliver the strategic growth and business plans by increasing sales opportunities.
-  You will be instrumental in raising the profile of the refinish brand portfolio with new and existing customers.
-  In addition, you will develop relationships with distribution national fleet managers, accident management companies and lease companies, in order to realise sales targets and long-term partnership relations.

WHAT YOU OFFER

-  You are educated to degree level, preferably in Business, or a proven track record in a commercial role.
-  Ideally, you have experience within the automotive refinish industry and have spent time with body shop /commercial vehicle management teams to develop an understanding of their needs.
-  You are a team player, who sees the benefit of supporting others to succeed, while also being able to work autonomously with high self-motivation.
-  You have a proactive nature with the ability to take initiative.
-  You are customer-focused, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and able to demonstrate good commercial awareness and an entrepreneurial flair.

 

Please note for this position: You must hold a valid UK driving license as frequent travel is required. A company car will be provided.

Location: Homebased (UK Wide) with frequent business travel.
