WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
In our G EM/OE unit, we are responsible for managing the European Oleosurfactants and Alcohol business. We serve primarily the Home and Personal Care market with Standard (Co)Surfactants building the backbone of the vast majority of formulations present in the market, as well as other products for more specific purposes. We are a dynamic, well connected, international and diverse team, covering the EMEA market and with head office in Monheim am Rhein.
As Regional Key Account Manager Std Surfactants Europe, you are responsible within the EM/O Sales team, for managing and developing strategic key customers across Europe. The role focuses on driving profitable growth, strengthening long-term partnerships, and ensuring the successful execution of commercial and strategic objectives in close collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of a portfolio of regional key accounts, acting as the primary contact for Standard Surfactants and Alcohols ;
- Drive sales growth, profitability, and market share in line with the Product Management strategy ;
- Lead and optimize commercial negotiations for European or global contracts, in close coordination with Product Management and the other regions ;
- Monitor contracted volumes and margins, challenging deviations when necessary. Provide regular reporting to the internal team ;
- Develop and execute regional and customer-specific EM/O account strategies, in close collaboration with the respective Product Managers and Key Account teams ;
- Identify growth opportunities and pro-actively push profit boosting projects ;
- Identify customer needs and work towards value-added solutions with support of e.g. Product Management, Supply Chain, and Technical teams. Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success ;
- Deliver structured market, customer, and competitor insights to support strategy adjustments ;
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date reporting using internal digital tools and systems ;
- Travel regularly within the region to maintain strong customer relationships.
WHAT YOU OFFER
- Degree in scientific disciplines, business, marketing or related field and preferably in Surfactant/Fatty Alcohol business ;
- 3 – 5 years of relevant working experience in Sales, advanced negotiation skills ;
- Team player with strong networking skills and hunting, entrepreneurial spirit ;
- Familiar in using standard IT applications and advanced digital tools ;
- Willingness to travel in the region of responsibility ;
- Language skills: excellent in English. Good French and German skills are a plus.
